South Warren has is undefeated and scoring a lot of points while allowing some points. Bowling Green has been scoring quite a few points of their own, but has lost to two very good teams. Which defense will prove superior. Will Spartans continue their winning ways? Or will Bowling Green prove they are in the hunt for a long a playoff run?

BG 28-14.

South has always had a knack for surprising me, but I have a hard time seeing them win this without Veltkamp.

BIG week in Warren County this week. BG has lost two straight against SW. And has to go on the road with this game. BG didn't get to play a game last week due lightning issues. But they did prepare for one, so I'm not sure if that helps or hurts them.

South Warren will be ready and well coached. They will throw some surprises at Bowling Green. BG has looked pretty good the last several weeks. If the Purples don't turn the ball over 4 or 5 times they beat St. X.

I do think BG needs to get out of the gate faster and not wait until the second half to wake up. Bowing Green also needs to play with the lead and not from behind.

That said I think Bowling Green will bring a few surprises of its own. I also think they are the more talented team this year.

I give Bowling Green the nod 28-21.

I love big high school games and this one should be a great one.

Good luck to both teams!

As Dragonfire said above, I also have a hard time seeing South winning this game without Veltcamp at the helm. The backup QB will be ok, but won't be enough to hit on critical 3rd and medium/longs that will be needed in this game.

I look for South to crowd the box and make BG pass to beat them. I like BG to make some plays in the air, but it could be the QB scramble that could be a difference maker on Friday.

If BG only runs it up the middle and throws dink and dunk passes, they keep South in the game with that and likely gives the Spartans a chance to win with a overly conservative game plan. Remember 2 things:

1. Through 6 games, South Warren is averaging giving up 50 yards a game on the ground.

2. Being stubborn, doesn't mean you are being smart. A conservative game plan is a recipe playing not to lose. I'm not sayin through hook and lateral every play. I'm saying you have to be balanced and against South you need to pass to set up the run.

It will be a hard hitting, emotional game between these 2 and the refs will need to take control early or it will get chippy quick.

I like BG 24-17.

And I hope Veltcamp gets better soon. Hate injuries and hope this one is injury free for both teams!

I think South is vulnerable through the air Glasgow threw the ball at will in the first half last week until their coaches got conservative in the second half with a lead and I think you have to pass to beat them because they are extremely stingy against the run as long as BG airs it out a little they will win by a couple scores.

Look for a big adjustment in the offense!Something BG tradional has a problem with.

No Veltkamp = a BG win I believe. Although I will never count out a Brandon Smith coached football team.

No Lacey this year. I think Mr. Tisdale does s couple of series on Offense and the purples defense is stellar.

BG 21-14

I wish I was there for the game!

Bowling Green 28-14.

I'll agree with other comments above. BG will have to pass to win. South held Central (Louisville) to -1 yards rushing, Glasgow to -15 and Warren Central to -2. The Spartan Run defense is as good as last year. South has to pass to win as well. Without Veltkamp, this might be difficult. The team with the most passing yards will pull this one off.
