Ok? But they know what they're getting into and no one forces them to be an official. I know in basketball at one time you could strike refs you didn't like from ever doing your games, I don't know if that's still a thing or not. Football you have a crew, but when a crew gets suspended you never see it on the KHSAA or publicized.

In my opinion, I'd say Football officials have it the easiest. They're so far away from the fans, basketball refs on the other hand....

There isn't enough transparency, a bad ref doesn't think he's a bad ref. I'm surprised with all the advances in technology that there aren't more referee call outs. There was once a study done where it showed how much MLB baseball umps favored or dis favored certain hitters/pitchers until they were being recorded and how much their calls changed once they knew they were being recorded and judged.

In the game update threads it said Paintsville had a couple INTs and Fumbles and no Kent Phelps. Bourbon is better than 1-4, they should run through their district.

This is the day and age we live, kids are very aware of what's happening, this isn't 10 years ago. With Social Media, and every Phone having an HD camera we see a lot of things that we might not of been Privy to years ago. I have no problem with kids/adults taking a knee, I think it's the people that have always felt a sense of control are the ones that worry.

So two schools but all athletics would be under Scott County? That sounds like it's all in the best interest of the Athletics, and not the school itself. What would McKee do if he had to compete with another school in his county? He has it made.

I've heard different at Lafayette

On Twitter it was mentioned there was band competition at Lafayette today, so I doubt they could of played it at Lafayette either.

Lafayette is now claiming a 2-0 victory due to Scott Co. forfeiture. Interesting.

I would say travel for Knox Central was also in consideration, most central Kentucky area schools didn't resume play until late into the night.

I feel like this would be common nature at alot of schools?

Maybe ATLCAT can chime in, but I'm not sure Rockcastle stopped anything with Belfry from what I've been reading around.

I'd say Bourbon's biggest worry is not having a QB with Varsity experience, and their first game is against what seems to be a very stout Rockcastle D. I pick Rockcastle to win based solely on that fact. But I could also see Bourbon winning if the QB can escape pressure.

I've ways heard "cut it where it bleeds less" I'd rather have disagreements/tension for a game, then let it drag along for a whole season.
