Does anyone know the spring period works in Florida? On his Twitter there's a picture of him in a Trinity uniform playing a different team already? He only transfered from KY after this last season.

What if your coach public ally says a 4.6 laser, soldifies you as a FBS recruit, can be just as bad. Which was my whole point when this started from the other thread.

Celebrating every kid in Ky that could run a 4.6 would probably clog the first page and bump this thread down, there would be 5 players from Male alone.

You're Correct in 90% of the schools in the state of KY, that's why I said "Each District" and metro schools probably more. But let's say Cole Bentley at 6'6 300lbs running a 5.3 40, I'd say that's a lot more impressive, then someone at 5'6 160 running a 4.6. One is an FBS player the other is not.

Never once have I hated on him or his skill, said he was a good high school player. I'm hating on the 4.6 being considered good, when its mediocre for a kid his size.

Buchanan did in the Danville Advocate the other day "The thing he did today with his 40 time, that is a cut-and-dry, pure evidence that this is a high level skill player, this is a guy who is a legitimate BCS recruit.”

I was referring to his coach doing so in an article in the Danville AM. There are a lot of High School skill players that can run a 4.6, if you don't believe so go look at Regional Results in the NFTC. I'm willing to bet most districts in the state have at least one kid(more for Metro Areas) that can run a 4.6 Again not knocking the kid, just not anything to write home about.

Not hating, telling the truth. The only reason I brought the NFL aspect up was because posters were saying he was faster then NFL Combine RB's. I then gave examples of high school kids, running the same 40's, at the same camp, with the same laser timing. 4.6 is not FBS or FCS fast at 5'6 150-160. Also remember Bryant Koback(UK Commit) 5'11 190 ran a 4.38 their last year. Laser timed. Zy'aire Hughes was timed at 4.42(laser timed) , Kash Daniel at 6'2 230 runs a 4.6. Again D Smith ran a mediocre time, nothing to celebrate. Wasn't even a player of notice in all the recruiting analysts camp reports.

Congratulations to the kid on being faster then all the Fullbacks in this years NFL Combine...who also weigh 80lbs heavier then him. I wouldn't even put him as the fastest kid in Mercer Co, that may go to Tanner Robbins. This is why we have the trophy kid generation. Celebrating mediocre times and players, like UK is actually going to be interested in him.

4.6 Laser is still pretty slow for any Athlete on a D1 radar of his stature at 5'6 and 160, add 30lbs and it's a bit more impressive.

If you want to waste money on these, go ahead. You can literally be a NSR scout and know nothing about sports. IMO it's a sports recruiting pyramid scheme. Football is their job, no teaching, they have a product to sell.

I think the NCAA is to blame for the AAU culture as much as anything. I read somewhere that a coach only gets so many "visits or days" per recruiting cycle. You can spend most your time traveling to 5 different gyms, or you could stay in one gym to see 5x the recruits, hence why the shoe companies EYBL, Gauntlet and AAU is popular. Fortunately in football there is no "cleat game"...yet

So soon we'll have AAU football coaches taking selfies with the coaches that recruit their guys? AAU football won't happen, primarily with the issue of player safety. I can see a lot more IMG types popping up, but will still be played during the fall season. Saban kind of sounds like a baby with this satellite camp issue.

I don't understand why he would decide so soon? I think he'll have a few more big offers coming. Maybe the UL offer will hold off on an early announcement.

I don't believe he singled out or bashed a kid. The only name in this thread that was produced was by you, about a transfer rumor. This is a site that gives opinion about high school sports...what do you expect? I'm sure somewhere on the internet they have a trophy kid message board you might be better suited for.

Who does Crawford play AAU for? Jones I'm pretty sure is on Hoop Dreams, I'd say Jones is a better college prospect then Crawford.

In the same boat as Broughton, nice high school players who have reached their potential.

Then why not make basketball 6 classes?
