He has visited several times but no offer yet. I am sure he will camp in Columbus this Summer to try and earn one.

I'm shocked UK, UC and UL are not after him.

Dante Wright at Tenn Tech is really going after these guys. Kudos to him and the TT staff.

They know his name and are keeping an eye on him and Bentley,,, still very early,,,, but Ray is having to overcome the measuring tape right now.

 

Though he is listed at 6'2 that seems a bit optimistic and unfortunately your Power 5 schools really put a lot of stock into the measurables.

 

Horton will have his chance this Summer to show that the numbers are only part of the equation. If he can have a successful spring and summer and perform at the camps he will have opportunities.

I am telling you folks if he does these camps this summer he will absolutely explode. I also think he is going to stick with UK even if bigger schools come calling.

I'm really happy for Austin and his family. That is a big time commitment for a kid who was on nobody's radar until December.

 

Austin had a great season, and an incredible State Championship game. He was a beast. I understand UK line Coach Schlarman made a bee-line to Belfry's locker room afterwards to find out "Who is this #61?"

 

Kid does so many things well, and moves so well for his size. I've never seen a Belfry lineman as good at holding blocks downfield as Dotson. Those are usually against quicker linebackers and defensive backs too.
