Will they be adding soccer lines?

Between Ziegelmeyer & Mayer, seems to be the most influence footballers have had on basketball in Ruthsatz era. Here's hoping both have successful football seasons & can transition without injury. A lot of rebounds to be had between those 2 boys. Long live the 2 or 3 sport H.S. athlete!

Good kid. Well deserved. All the times I would pick him up as a kid with my son, he was always working on his game in the driveway.

How did CVH do this weekend?

Wife's mom was 5'0" on a good day. Wife's father was 6'1". Wife's brother is 6'5". Wife's brother has two sons (our nephews) that never made it to 5'10" and both love to play hoops. Again, too many variables in said "formula".

Mother is 5'5". Which according to "formula" is correct for youngest son. Daughter is 5'9". Not into hoops though.

I'm 6'1". My oldest son is 6'3". My youngest son is 5'11". Oldest can barely dunk a tennis ball, youngest can throw down a regulation basketball. There is no formula for genetics.

I'll give you most of this, but a "bunch" of games, I think not. They've consistently been #2 or #3 team in area for years, unfortunately, the margin between them and #1 remains pretty wide since '06.

Talent wise - I believe it may not be their best in awhile. However, if they consistently put the correct number of players on the field at a time, it will be an upgrade.

In this scenario, what's the thought process of a coach (not just CCH)? Do you take the 15 best players, or do you take chances on kids with possible better upside. i.e. - If a kid is in the 15-20 range, but judging by genetics is likely to reach the 6'5" range, do you keep?

Dickie lived in other teams passing lanes. A sight to see! Or, not see, as he's already down the court laying it in.

Nothing upsets shooters more than quick defenders. I'll take the Bulldogs.

Move them back to Louisville, Blue Colonels 6-0 all time there. Conspiracy theory, our Big Blue Bus cannot travel over 100 miles at a time, thus have purposely avoided trips to WKU.

Valid point. Yet Coach R has shown he will place kids at the level they are capable of, no matter the grade. Curious, don't know their names, but the two big kids at Gray who had great success in NKMSL over past 3 years - are they attending Ryle?

Sounds like the balls were getting by you & rolling to "infinity" with all your daydreaming about gas tank explosions. Played a many a Friday night softball game there. Never could quite hit one far enough to clear fences. Heard legend that a few did, I never saw one though. Agreed on the left field netting. Saw/heard many cars getting tagged back in the day.

I would say CVH is the top dog based on his experiences. Snapp likely to be top scorer. I'm wondering if CCH/Newport are scheduled to play? There's going to be new talent showing through. Looking forward to it. I hope they will be as compelling as past few years with Beetle, McD, Schuh, Hatton, etc.

Watched last 6 minutes of CCH game again. Colonels were up 9 with 6 to go. CCH missed (3) FTs, with one being a front end. Other than that, O'boro turned up the heat & forced (3) TO's, plus hit crucial 3's, ran a great OOB play, and (2) huge offensive boards. Finally, they answered back when Schumate's shot would have devastated many teams. Owensboro the best. Final answer.

I'm sure some growing pains next year for this young team, but by end of year will be in the hunt again. The program is going to miss Bo Schuh; haven't been too many 6'6" athletes like him in Park Hills over the years. Although I'm thinking Nick Thelen will play a lot like Bo in years to come. May even be taller by Jr/Sr years. I can't recall, did Bo get much varsity time his Freshman year?

Kudos to the Red Devils, well deserved STATE champs. But I got to say as a CCH guy, hurts just a little bit more knowing a couple plays here/there & we have very good chance of advancing and taking down BG as well. Best team won though !

Counting all A & sweet 16, lotta hardware back to 9th region in past 15 mos.
