Expect a 3-Peat... I'm just going to leave it at that.

I expect a third straight regional title as well. CVH, Flood, & Will Heppler. Those are the 3 kids I can recall that will be back, plus one of the state's best head coaches.

Not sure if Hepp can play due to an injury.

^ What happened?

And who will CovCath get to work the paint if he's gone?

Not sure what his injury is but the recovery is long. Could impact baseball as well.

Assuming Ziegelmeyer makes it through football uninjured he will be the big. Big strong kid. 6'6 or so.Potential D1 college offensive tackle. Strong. Aggressive. Would have played a lot as a soph but injured his knee in pre-season basketball practice.

PG play will be key. Cooper T was very strong last year after following Nick Ruthsatz.

Aiden Ruthsatz will get a shot to be the starter. Getting bigger from what I can see. Has a nice game. Only a soph so he's inexperienced.

They'll have nice depth. They'll have a chance to compete for the 9th again.

Hepp was originally thought to be out for the season but I was told from a pretty reliable source that he is expected back mid-late December.

Good to hear.

The young Ruthsatz could blossom into a great player. He has had a very nice offseason.

The Colonels have developed a very nice hoops program...it's amazing what coaching can do to a program.

Between Ziegelmeyer & Mayer, seems to be the most influence footballers have had on basketball in Ruthsatz era.

Here's hoping both have successful football seasons & can transition without injury. A lot of rebounds to be had between those 2 boys.

Long live the 2 or 3 sport H.S. athlete!

CVH and Flood will be the go-to guys, in that order. I've heard good things about CJ Fredrick and Aiden Ruthsatz is playing well. Mayor is athletic but needs to be tougher.

Ziegelmeyer is a question mark to me since he basically hasn't played since freshman year.

I heard Heppler was done for good, but if you guys (above) say he could play that would be good. Whether he plays or not, I think Jake Walter will play a role. Its tough to sit size like that out.

To 3 peat would be tough, but when the ball is in CVH's hand, I think this team can compete with most of the teams in the state.

And some amazing talent to boot. But yeah, the coaching is top notch for sure.

Definately talent for sure but those coaches are demanding a ton from the kids and they are responding.

Great point Q. On top of that, the coaches have the "skins on the wall" for the kids to see. It is amazing what winning can do for a culture - it simply feeds off itself.

There is a program slightly east of Park Hills that plays with an oblong ball that can tell you all about it.
