I am told Soph Jake Walter is in the 6'10 range now. He is 15.

I saw a picture of him standing next to his old man. He has a few inches on him. Pops is 6'8" btw.

Joe? He's about 6'6.

I hope we get to see Jake play some this year. He needs needs needs to get tougher mentally and physically. If he does those two things, and with his size, he could be the highest level basketball recruit to ever come out of CCH.

I was told that CCH opens with Cooper. I'd rather see that game in late January / early February when both teams are rolling.

Correct on opening up. Dec 1st I believe (?).

Hopefully the two will meet up come February; I'm sure both teams will have improved tremendously by then.

Scott and staff can run out different types of lineups this year.

They an go big or small. You can see Hepp/Ziggy in if you want to go "big" with some a few minutes from Walter. You can go small and move Mayer to the 5 and get up and down the floor.

You heard wrong.

Ask Moeller.

I heard Flood has struggled in the off season

He dropped 43 points in one game at Xavier basketball camp while CVH was out with ankle injury. I might add it was against a very good team also. I wouldn't call that struggling. I feel he could score more every game if he got more shots. Not often does the offense run thru him. He does rebound and defend extremely well also. Andy is a great kid. In my opinion he is underrated, and overlooked often. Hope he has a great senior season.

CCH has ALOT of depth as usual this upcoming season. But with Bo gone, the paint may not be as explosive. Bo was a very explosive player. He didn't have the strength and force, but he did have the physicality and vertical to get the rebounds. Cvh is now reaching his prime, so we should expect alot out of him. I don't know how things could get any better than last year and the year before. This will be entertaining. I can't wait.

Curious? What is the timing for CCH bball tryouts, when are final cuts made?

I assume they already started and that if final cuts haven't been made they're down to 1 or 2 players.

Thanks Clyde. Hoping for the best for my Pius boys.

How many Pius kids are trying out for Freshman? Any idea?
