Frosh could be different. I was speaking to JV/Varsity.

He dropped 43 points in one game at Xavier basketball camp while CVH was out with ankle injury. I might add it was against a very good team also. I wouldn't call that struggling. I feel he could score more every game if he got more shots. Not often does the offense run thru him. He does rebound and defend extremely well also. Andy is a great kid. In my opinion he is underrated, and overlooked often. Hope he has a great senior season.

Does anyone have the rosters for Cov Cath? i heard 16 freshman made the freshman team, which does not include Thelen who is playing JV. I am curious who from the freshman team did not make JV / Varsity as well.

Not sure how accurate or complete this is as I assume they'll be a few more players added to the 11 listed, but I obtained this info from the KHSAA site, and couldn't find any other list elsewhere. None of the roster listings at the CovCath website are current.

Hadn't heard Thelen was officially only playing JV, but know for sure that Davin won't play a second of freshmen hoops.

So if two freshman are on JV, how many players from last year's freshman team will not be playing this year? I thought they kept a pretty large number last year as well. Very curious to see the final rosters.

Had about 19 frosh in the program last year. I would say 3 of those will not play JV this year - CJ, AJ, Ruthsatz. My guess is there are about 8 or 9 of that class on the JV. Just a guess.

Max Bishop will not play this year. Other Juniors on the team are Hunter Ziegelmeyer, Ross Basford and In Galvin.

I see CovCath as a clear favorite... I don't see them crashing in the postseason like the previous favorites did the last two years.

I can't verify whether or not it is a record, but I'm certain their JV front-line HAS to be one of the biggest in KY JV history: 6'3', 6'5", and 6'10". Yeah....good luck with those guys.

Sounds like frosh Nick Thelen is going to push the varsity boys for some minutes. Kid is really athletic.
