Wow you gotta love rosters where everyone is an inch or 2 taller and 20 lbs heavier overnight. If those measurements are correct they may have one of the biggest rosters in the state from 9-12.

CVH better update his recruiting Website. He still lists himself as 6'1". That is probably the true height. Most teams measure in shoes because after all they do play the game in shoes.

No one has talked about Jack Davin. He is a kid from Ohio. I saw him on the AAU circuit and he is very skilled. He was ranked as a Top 10 kid in the State of Ohio for the class of 2019. This JV team would probably be ranked top 5 - 7 for HS varsity teams in the 9th region.

Jake Walter played against Mason on Wednesday and I don't believe he is seven foot. He is more like 6'10" I would say.

Mayes from Dixie in '03. Brossart had a kid that was 6'10'' or so, derrick Rhoden. I think Rhoden graduated in 2004 or 2005.

 

Prior to that, I think it would've been Mike Vieth from St. Henry in the late 90's. That St. Henry team also had another big guy, Jaime Eichorst, who was close to 7' as I recall.

I'm more surprised Walter is 280 pounds. Last time I seen him he looked around 220.

Walter is a good kid but even listed at 6'10 he will be a quick pass shoot kid. Last time I've seen him he didn't have much if inside game. Unless this summer was really good to him he has going to have to learn to play the 5.

 

Just being tall won't make him successful. Will be fun to see how far he has come.
