CCH is the team I always think of first but that might be because they were on a nice run when I first became interested in HS basketball. Those were the days of Voskuhl, VonLehman, and Noll among others. Mote Hils was the coach.

Best Histroy - Holmes and CCH

Best Players- Every School pretty much has one or two great ones. That's open for huge debate.

Coaches- Reynolds Flynn, Shields, Moat Hils, Henley, Ruthsatz is well on his way to joining this list.

Cinderella Runs- 91 Holy Cross first thing that comes to mind. State final 4 team, upset top 2-3 team in state (Holmes) in the regional final.

81 Simon Kenton would have to be mentioned as well.

Underdogs- once again I'd say 91 Holy Cross.

Best stories- How John Wooden started his coaching career at Dayton High School.

How Holmes was robbed of the 78 title.

How three teams in the same school district are now in three different regions.... Nevermind that is just a odd story.

Best players? Cowens (NC), Neltner(Highlands), Beal(Holmes), Mckinley(SK), Turner(Newport). Not a bad starting Five.

He wouldn't be on my Christmas Card list, but Scott Draud has to be on that list.

There's been a couple of good players to come out of Mason County recently, but I went a little old school for my team. Some might consider Mason County more eastern, but it is situated as far north as you can go.

Would someone share the story of how Holmes was robbed of the 1978 title?

Charles Hurt sticking his hand through the rim for a goal tending call that was never called.

Holmes- Doug Schloemer only Mr. Kentucky from Holmes. Might be the best player to come from there.

Scott Draud was a scoring machine!

Jack Jennings from Holmes wasn't bad either.
