6'5 Jeff McKinley was a good one for SK he also started several games for Louisville at PG.

Best players? Cowens (NC), Neltner(Highlands), Beal(Holmes), Mckinley(SK), Turner(Newport). Not a bad starting Five.

You can have a 6'6 center who dominates in the paint and is a great high school player who won't sniff D-1. It doesn't change the fact they dominated high school.

IMO: Doug Schloemer and Ross Neltner have to be included in any list of players as they are the only two players from NKY that have won Mr. Basketball. Plus Schloemer really won a state championship which was taken from him by the refs.

 

Best History---Holmes by an easy margin: Most district titles, region titles, state final four appearances, state championship appearances, state champion.

 

I can agree with that and I would say Draud has to be on the list too leaving two spots up for debate to me.

The lapse of time makes legends grow bigger. To the opposite, I'm putting a more recent performer in the top 5. Ruthsatz, the player.

Krohman and McKinley where both quick. Probably the best guard tandom ever in NKY.
