I would assume Mayer led the way, but the guards made some 3's. Lyons and Powers also had nice games. Camp Ernst made nice comeback in 3rd qtr, but Pius then went on a 3 minute run that probably was some of their best basketball this year to put the game away. Mayer sat the whole 4th qtr. 8th - Pius 7th - Pius (#0, PG for Pius had to have 12 assists, a few very incredible) 6th - Camp Ernst

The final game scene with all the Confederate Flags in background rubs me the wrong way. Maybe I'm wrong, but i can't think they were that abundant. Hollywood

Clyde is a milkman. His stops are Hebron, Park Hills and selective Middle Schools. haha

Nice win Colonels. Good to see Cole put up some numbers.

Cooper Theobald. I think many agreed this past off season that replacing those two would take time. Bo had a skill set not often found walking the halls in Park Hills. Colonels are young, growing pains so far which will continue, had to be expected. Playing their schedule will lead to more L's than past couple years, but the experience will be valuable in long run.

He had also coached N.KY Bulldogs on the AAU circuit with a lot of success. That team included Austin Schrek, Bolen from Dixie and Matt Mullins from SK, plus others I can't recall right away. They too were very scrappy & well disciplined in their sets.

Congrats to the Jags. Never like to see my team lose, but an early season wake up call isn't necessarily a bad thing. Sounds like AJ had no ill effects from FB season, 10 boards on opening night after a week's practice. Looked for other threads but didnt see any. CCH website shows Colonel frost won by 7. No score reported for JV, anybody have that info?

Sophmores Ruthsatz, Lenihan, Mayer (Pius), Walter and Kunkel (Conner) had 3-years of intense Middle School battles. 3 - Regional Titles between them. Conner in 6th & 7th, Pius in 8th. Tonight looks to begin the battle of 3 more years. Although Walter now on the other side.

All was good. Nothing to see here. Well played game. Pius led throughout, but couldnt stop SV point guard from getting to the basket late in the game. SV 7th grade looks like a team that will improve - coach does a very good job as evident by his team's 7th grade championship last year. I'm sure a long way to go to match Highlands level, but I'm betting on a successful year regardless. Pius 6th grade doesn't have much size, but some nice players. Point guard has terrific handles for his age. Nice pull up Jumper as well. SV has a very skilled 6th grader as well. Not sure of name - good height, dribbles well & can finish. I'm sure a top player in league.

I cannot speak for Clyde, but I would dare to say it goes to the over exuberance of coaching and parents and to the final outcome, rather than the enjoyment of the sport and its participants.
