Kyle Rode was efficient for LCA in its loss at Scott County. Was 7-for-13 from field & 11-for-13 from the line for 26 points in 29 minutes.

LCA starts a sophomore also don't they? Tre King.

He's a junior but probably close to the same age as some of the freshman and sophomores in this game.

This game was super boring.. LCA played just about no defense as why Moreno had a a handful of layups. He knows how to find the open spots on the floor as a big man. Kyle Rode can play! He can finish through contact without a problem, he got like 3 And-1s in a row. But the game in general was a bunch of fouls and free throws. i think LCA had 3 or 4 foul out and SC had 2 i think.

Ahh all right. I always thought hen was a sophomore but I think that may be because of the age group he played AAU in. I was thinking he played with Lexington Future with Trevon Faulkner.

What impressed me most about Rode was that he played the entire second half with four fouls, scoring 23 of his 26 points.

Tre King fouled out with only 8 points late in the third quarter. He was pretty much a non-factor - had all 8 points in the first half. SC's bigs really corralled him all night.

LCA only managed 2 points in the first quarter, and could not whatsoever handle Scott County's defensive pressure. Eagles had 17 turnovers at half.

SC's biggest hurdle this year will be offensively. They could not buy a basket in first half. The Cards' 10-2 lead at the end of the first should have been about 20-2 or 25-2 with the amount of layups and putbacks they got, but missed.

61 fouls called in the game. Refs were zeroed in from the tip.

He used to. He's young enough to play down a level. This past AAU season is the first time that he's played on grade level.

Is this kid a frosh?

Yes. LCA has (4) Frosh on their Varsity roster.

Makes it tough on the frosh coach.

Sure do. He's got to coach them up! Frosh team has some nice players, lack a little bulk though.

Three of the worst officials in the region assigned to the same game. Knew I was in for a long night when I saw them walk out.
