I'd imagine every article goes through the same process an English paper in college goes through. -Outline. -Take notes on the outline. -Construct rough draft. -Edit draft for grammar, comprehend-ability, etc. -Rewrite essay. -Look at original notes/outline. -Incorporate important points into final essay. And then you have a publishable article.

When you ask "is this one of the best classes the 9th has seen in x years?", do you measure that based solely on high school play during their 9th region tenures or measure it based on how many of them play in and excel in college? Just curious.

True, but I meant relativity undersized, and underskilled. Meaning players who have Division 2 talent and size. My apologies for not specifying.

Good to see Walter doing well. Really hope he can develop and contribute at the varsity level over the next 2 years. Hoping the varsity game is a good one as well.

I wouldn't say all D-1 bound players are easier to coach, but I can confidently say that being very coachable is an attribute that could give an under-skilled/undersized athlete more opportunities to go D1.

Bo has been having an outstanding year at Transy - starting, averging 13 points and 5 boards. Unfortunately I heard tonight that he tore his ACL. Prayers for a speedy recovery.

Have you spoken to him about his goals in terms of legacy and college choices? He's got some extremely high goals and a 9 point game is not going to help him get where he wants to be. I'm not concerned with the team's progress, for what it's worth. I just know what Cole wants to accomplish in the big picture, that's all.

Anyone else concerned about CVH with less than 10 points? I know what the teams' outcome was, but if Cole really wants to be as good as he said he does then he needs to keep his average up. I hope this 9 point game is the only outlier.

There is still A LOT of basketball to be played and there are more factors than just numbers, but looking at this it seems Weyer would be POY if it were decided today.

True, although that team in 2014 was MUCH, MUCH different than this years (not that you implied differently). But it's true, this tournament is where the 2014 team really "gelled" and came together. Beating Riverview in overtime was the turning point for the team in 2014.

Nice to see McClendon with 26. Haven't been following Holmes, but it'd be nice for him to wrap up his high school career leading his team deep into the playoffs.

His fight in his recovery is representative of how hard he plays on the hardwood. Tough kid. Awesome story and great to see such strong community support.

That's probably why college (women's too as of this season) and NBA/FIBA moved it back. With all the specialization of youth sports today, it makes sense that as kids start becoming more competitive at an early age, the three point line becomes easier and easier. I would not be surprised if they moved it out a foot in high school within the next 10 years. But if you ask Gregg Popovich, we should get rid of it all together.

If Jake Walter stared me down and set a hard screen on me after I fouled CVH, I'd stop fouling CVH.

Congrats to Bryce and family! Any time a high school athlete gets the opportunity to continue their career playing the sport they love is great.

Proud of Aiden Ruthsatz to score 20. He's got HUGE shoes to fill, and its good to see him starting to score. Colonels will need Andy Flood to step up soon. I've heard he had an injury just before the season started so hopefully he continues to heal up and is back to his play from the 9th region tourney last year.

This is probably the funniest thread I've ever seen on BGP. I've been going to CCH home games for 11 years, and I cannot recall a single time where this has had any affect on the passer. Charlie Hartmann and Bob Rowe are always in front of the student section keeping it under control. It's a small gym. The stands are close to the court. Students are loud and like to have (or at least like to think they have) an effect on the game. Get over it.
