Let's put this way........they ain't winning the 7th Region

Like I said last week when the Blue Colonels played Central, this team is one of the BEST passing teams I've seen. They are very patient moving the ball around, and they do a great job of finding the open guy. CovCath also does an excellent job of rotating in multiple players throughout the game.

 

Really liked the game of St. X players #5 Connor McKim & #32 William Olsen.

Enjoyed hanging with LB13 and Clyde tonight, a great way to watch a game.

 

I can't believe that is the best St X can field with 1,600 boys. A couple of nice players, a big that works hard and can face up (41), but not deep and not much size.

I think state teams are better than Louisville teams at this point. Believe me - that's not an easy thing to admit for a 7th region fan like me. In fact, I don't even think it's close. It's just a very mediocre year for teams in the 6th and 7th regions.

I think your mind may change after the kob. Trinity just beat owen co, and fern creek (who just lost a star guard), just handled bowling green (who's star guard just got hurt). Ballard just lost at buzzer with it being 1st game for 2nd best player. Think you'll see similar outcomes tomorrow as well, and in the best in hoops.

The following is my opinion and I realize it can't be the staff's opinion and that many will disagree.

 

CVH went to the rim on a breakout and got hammered by an X kid. Not a cheap shot but it was a HARD foul that COULD have caused injury. CVH certainly didn't like it. He then hammered him later on a jump shot.

 

I was disappointed to see no one respond in an appropriate way to let the young man know that no one on the Colonel team is fair game. I'm not saying the kid has to be punched. I'm not saying he has to be hurt. I'm saying he has to be shown that it's unacceptable. Again, I fully realize I'm in the minority on this.
