Geez. And Taylor was the preseason #1....

That's CCH's largest margin of victory this year. They beat Bellevue by 40 and Taylor County by 46.

After this humiliating loss, I don't know how Taylor County stays in the top 20 in the BGP rankings. They are 5-5 with 4 losses to Ky schools. They have yet to beat a top 20 team, and the best team they have beat is Perry Co. Central at the beginning of the year. I would lay odds PCC would beat Taylor if they played right now.

Taylor County isn't good. They seem to prove it over and over again. But for some reason, people think having 2 players makes you great. They literally have a JV team once you get past Sloan and Goodin. I don't think any of their kids would start on most JV teams.

Goodin mailed it in today, unfortunate for those who wanted to see him play. I guess I get it with these D1 signed kids, he has nothing to gain and everything to lose going full bore in a meaningless game. Boldin at Holmes was the same way last year, killing time hanging out at 2 guard throwing up 3's and watching.

What position does the Fredrick kid play? How tall is he & what grade?

6'3 sophomore wing that can play the 2 or 3. He's going to be really good for the Colonels. Finished 11-12 from the field, 5-5 3FG. While also holding Q to 5 pts (doubt you see Q have another game like that this year). He's known very well in Cincy for his middle school days at, I believe, Cardinal Pacelli.

If you would have told me CVH and Floody would get 13, combined, I would have thought Taylor Co would have named the score. I'm SO HAPPY for CJ, a fantastic young man, and a 28 burger laid on a solid team this early in his sophomore year. If he is a dependable and consistent 3rd scorer, CovCath's potential trajectory this season could be much different.

I really don't know what he'll do at X. He isn't a true point guard, but doesn't shoot the ball well enough to play the 2. He's a bull physically and can get to the basket at will. But he thinks he can shoot. He's never been a consistent shooter.

I understand that 2 players don't make a complete team, but we are talking about 2 of the top players in the state, the 2 best players on the court, that control the ball 80% of the time...That in itself should keep them at least competitive.

Goodin with 5 pts...seriously, a head scratcher indeed.

Mack loves high-flying guards who can play above the rim and get to the rack. Sounds like this kid is like Semaj Christon from Winton Woods who could jump out of the gym and get to the hoop at will in HS, he was not a great perimeter shooter either.
