I've heard it used to be a big deal. Anyone care to explain why it lost so much interest?

I recently read that a Prep school is coming to Louisville this year. Does anyone have any details?

Coach Kellen is a great coach & a very nice guy. I would be happy for my son to play for him.

Just curious how they handled playing time . Was it a 5 in 5 out plan or did they play with the strongest lineup to win? I noticed several players didn't score just curious if they had an opportunity .

Doss went to the final of the state tourney & didn't get one player mentioned .. I don't think Louisville schools participated very well ..

This post made last week by Jason Frakes . He stated that he had only 130 ballots for boys & girls. @kyhighs: @GreenwellTodd no, but that's boys and girls combined ... a pretty pitiful response, to be honest.

I was told Coach Blackburn has not announced his decision yet.

It doesn't matter in Jefferson county kids move schools all the time without moving their address. I'm told the KHSAA can't manage it so they've given up..

I wasn't aware of any of the players at East that didn't start there their freshman year & play all 4 years. I agree that they had every opportunity to win the game.

Bullitt East should have been a lock this year as Doss graduated most of their key players last year & boom multiple transfers in & they are back at state . Jefferson county transferring is out of control & the KHSAA seems to have given up on trying to stop it..

Does Mckim shoot every shot? I saw he had 3/4 of the points. Do they have any other players?

Do they still have the KY Allstar team that plays Indiana ? If so who makes that selection & when?

No not for that reason . Bob Blackburn had been retired for years & came out of retirement to help out 3 years ago due to the sudden loss of their coach & decided to stay & finish out with this group of seniors. My guess is he will be back on the beach after this year.

Bullitt East will more than likely be open..

All the credit to the Fern Creek team & coaches but shots that Bullitt East makes 90% of the time just didn't fall. The rebounds had to be 2-1 in favor of Fern creek also. Hopefully Bullitt East can bounce back & use this game as motivation to take nothing for granted going forward. Nothing like some humble pie to change outlooks...

One thing that makes this hard to judge is a player on a really good team is not likely to score 30 points a game (unless a coach is trying to help pad his stats) so he may not get the attention that a player on a weaker team who has to carry the load . Is it fair to penalize either one?

Lots of different mixes on the floor due to senior night kinda threw things off for BE . Tyler Sharpe didn't play many minutes in the first half. The game was always in hand but not pretty.

Can someone post the selection process for Regional POY & Mr Basketball? Who gets a vote & are they given guidelines to follow in making their decision?

Agree that they played their tales off & deserve the credit for that & Coach Brewer coached every play. Sometimes the desire to win trumps talent ..

Tyler Sharpe played about 5 min in the first half & had 5 points at the half. Bullitt East missed more easy Layups than I could count & trailed as much as 12 maybe more in the 2nd half, Finally went on a run & tied it up & couldn't get a rebound 3 consecutive plays on the defensive boards on missed foul shots. I think it was a case of overlooking them after a blowout vs Meade earlier in the week and a well coached Bardstown team took advantage of it. It's also a tough place to play as Bardstown shot 34 free throws.

Bullitt East stats Shooting - ugly Rebounding -ugly Effort -very ugly

In fairness to Meade, they were definitely over matched but I'm not sure anyone would have beat East last night. Their reserves probably played more than the starters but also had intensity on defense & shot very well. 12 players scored and it was fun to watch.
