Possibly the most underrated kid in the state.

I'm not familiar with the kid, but I saw where he received one of the Herald Leader's five votes for Mr. Basketball.

I've told a couple of coaches to check that kid out. He's a nice player

I'm not sure this article does much to address his question. He was talking about how a kid has zero interest, and then expanded that point to ask about kids in the state as a whole. He was not saying this kid should be recruited by the likes of KS and KY or other top 25 D1 programs.

Speaking of recruitment, what's the latest on Darius Williams?

To the individual kid, I have no answer without knowing them.

5'11 (maybe shorter) PG. 44+ inch vertical. Won the "highest vertical" contest at AAU nationals in July.

 

He's the one who makes Dunbar go. Numbers won't blow you away but he runs the team. Like i said earlier, high IQ kid. Makes winning plays.

I was told likely a Junior College kid. Maybe Slim859 or MooreMiller can tell us?

I think Tyler Sharpe is under recruited. I don't know of any D2 or D1 offers that he's had. I know KY State offered in the summer, but then he took an assistant coaching job at IUPUI. Does anyone know the latest on Tyler Sharpe's recruitment?

I agree with another poster that this kid makes the team go. When he went out against Trinity in the KOB, that's what killed Dunbar. He may be the most important piece on the team. Not the best player, but most valuable. Plays D on the best opposing guard, and pushes it for them and does all the little things. Williams or Hollingsworth can go for 30 or 40 on any given night alone, so one of them out doesn't hurt as much as him being out IMO.

Lewis is a baller. Nothing is great about his game skill wise, but he COMPETES! I love that about his game.

Dai'Von Thompson and Brandon Wells come to mind as well at Central. Both have been all 7th region multiple years and have no college interest at this point I'm hearing. Tony Washington at Fern Creek as well. It seems like you have to be on the EYBL or some circuit AAU teams for the most part to get that exposure. I personally watched Tyler Sharpe rip apart a Nike EYBL team from NYC to pieces for 34 points and AAU nationals last summer. And he wasn't being a ball hog. I don't know how a small D1 doesn't offer. Kid can play. Don't know how high his college ceiling is since he's likely done growing, but he's solid enough to play at an EKU type school to me. I know he has interest from smaller schools, but I think he's waaay under recruited.
