I have watched Tyler Sharpe since his freshman year, and nearly every game from his sophmore year on...Every year this young man has added elements to his game, from being a set up shooter, he has developed into a complete all around player.

His most improved asset is that he can take anyone off the dribble, he is a tenacious driver, and can finish with either hand. He can of course come off the screen and bury the three, his passing skill is well above average. He is a legitimate triple threat on offense. On the defensive end he brings it, hawking his man, steals, deflections, and for his size, he is one of the best rebounders that you would want from a 2 guard position.

And finally maybe the most important asset that he brings to the table is his will & energy to the team. He is the spark plug, he runs with a high motor....He will make a great addition to any college club!

I think Henry Clay's Isaiah Tisdale and Dunbar's Jordan Lewis are the best kept secrets in the state of Kentucky.

 

They are both starting to get some deserved attention, but they have both been good for a while now, and have not gotten as much attention as I think both of them should.

 

Jordan Lewis is very slight of build which might scare some of the recruiters, but he is an unbelievable athlete. Explosive!

 

Isaiah Tisdale is a kid you need to see several times before you fully understand how multi-facet his game is. Sneaky good!

I would say both Tyrik Edwards from Christian County and Kourtney Ware from Hopkinsville. I am guessing Edwards because of his height (5'8") and Ware because he is just now blossoming.

Sharpe is legit 6'1. He can score the ball at all 3 levels, and is a very underrated defender. The kid has instincts. The "it" factor. He could play at several D1 schools. But I really think he'd be an all time great at any D2 school.

 

FYI...I think a kid by the name of Chris Lofton was a 6'1" SG. Seemed to have done okay at the College level. I'm not saying Sharpe is the same level of talent as Lofton, but seems a small D1 school could take a SG that can play.

Hard to believe that Pig doesn't have some bigger schools looking at him. I don't know what his grades look like, but on the court he has the look and game of a D1 player. He's not a scrawny player. He has the size, handles, and offensive game IMO to play at least at the NKU, MSU, EKU level and probably bigger schools.

I spoke to a college coach at the King of the Bluegrass that made the same comparison. He also said that if Sharpe were at NKU or WKU, he'd be the best guard on the roster right now.

Tyler Sharpe has some interesting people in his corner. Denny Crum attended a recent game at East and has become a supporter of Sharpe. I think he attends D-1.

Jordan Lewis has some interest from Berea college and some smaller class schools, he is a tough player and got some exposure by playing with KY Elite. He's a kid that would benefit from playing on a post grad team and or Juco. He would be an excellent pick up for a D3 or NAIA D2 school in which I think he plays right away. Many of the D2 schools and even NAIA D1 are waiting around to see who the D1's leave behind. March and April will be a hot month for many seniors in Kentucky.

Had always heard that Chris didn't get any D1 offers until Tennessee came into the picture in July after his senior year. Anybody know if that is true? Can't get a much higher HS profile than he had. 6'1" maybe? In my opinion closer to 6'0.

Not sure if the offer part is true, however I know he had been receiving plenty of interest from D1, I know Marshall University was interested in him his Junior year. I am pretty sure he had several offers throughout the years because his junior and senior years they played in the top tournaments which includes King of the Bluegrass and Lexington Catholic's tournament.

Not true. I know of one contingent offer he had.

 

Rick Pitino and Louisville offered Chris Lofton after his junior year. The offer was contingent on Chris giving up football in his senior year and concentrating on basketball. Chris elected to play football in his senior year (all-State wide receiver) and the Louisville offer faded away.

Chris had D1 offers, just not high offers. I believe he was set to become an Ohio Bobcat until the UT offer came.

Many would have said the same of Tim Henderson, who had nowhere near the talent of Sharpe.
