Highly entertaining game. Carson Williams was his usual high energy self and was well deserving of MVP for the KY squad. Didn't think Jarron Cumberland played all that well, and would have had him 4th if I had an MVP ballot behind Trey Landers (Dayton), Xavier Simpson (Michigan) and John Teske (Michigan).

Ohio was close to pulling away with about 7 minutes left, but the Kentucky squad turned up the pressure and clawed back in it. Mason Faulkner had a clean look from 3 for the win as time expired, but couldn't knock it down...

15+ points huh?

Was very much headed in that direction, but credit the KY kids for playing well down the stretch and speeding up a usually steady Xavier Simpson. Thought he would have been better suited trying to beat the pressure off the bounce, but he tried to make some really tough passes instead and it nearly cost them the game.

Ohio clearly had the more talented team, but Kentucky played hard and made it interesting. It was a fun one to watch...

Carson Williams led Kentucky with 18 points.

He was a beast. Thought all 3 kids headed to NKU played well...

Thought Nick Ward, 6'8" was an absolute beast in the 1st half and is on his way to Michigan. John Teske, 6'11" had 6 rebs, two blocks and 4 points in his first 5 minute stint and altered numerous shots and is on his way to Michigan State.

You got it backwards. Ward is headed to MSU and Teske to Michigan...

Ohio wasn't that much better. It was a game of runs. Ohio was just able to survive Kentucky's last surge.

How many did Weyer have?

Ohio wasn't that much better.

In terms of sheer talent level, yes they were. Goodin and Williams were only two guys on par with the top 7 from Ohio. Simpson, Cumberland, Ward, Landers, Teske, Watson and Tategive Ohio a sizeable edge in talent. Credit to the KY kids for battling hard and making it an entertaining game...

Thanks. You are correct.

Of all the players you mentioned from Ohio, I was only impressed by Ward. No one else really did anything special but that's just my opinion.

To be fair it was an exhibition game. Three platoons makes it tough to really get into the flow of a game.
