Connor McKim had a terrific game, but missed 2 free throws with 2.9 seconds left in regulation and the score tied.

Trinity's 7th Region gauntlet: Male by 7, Ballard in OT and St. X in OT..............Whew.

McKim had 34 of X's 48 points.

This is two straight games that Trinity has overcome double-digit second half deficits to pull out the win.

Hate to hear that...

Congratulations Trinity.

What is the makeup of this year's Trinity team? Starters, Size, best player? Style of play? (Scores indicate they can play some D for sure).

Tough break for St. X. Must be the curse of Scott Padget. Dont think they've won the 7th since he left.

How is Trinity better without Spalding? Hes was a top 100 player in the country and he leaves, and they're a better team, whats up with that?

Go ROCKS! Take care of business at state.

It was brutal. He carried X the entire game and then missed those two FT's. He just rushed the first one, and I think the second one was all mental. It was over after that.

Honestly, I wasn't that impressed with either team tonight.

Does Mckim shoot every shot? I saw he had 3/4 of the points. Do they have any other players?

Congratulations Trinity.

Trinity has only two seniors on the team and only one, Gabe Schmitt, sees significant minutes. Their leading 3-point shooter, Lukas Burkman, broke his foot a couple of weeks ago and is lost for the season. They have an excellent point guard in Jacob King (jr.) and have 3 other kids - 2 juniors and a freshman - who are in the 6'2" to 6'3" range. They are a very good 3-point shooting team. IMO they play with good chemistry and do not get rattled if things are not going well. Also, they are a very good FT-shooting team-----at one time I think they were leading the state in FT %age but I don't know where they stand now. I think King is their best player.

Padgett was not on regional championship team.
