Is Holmes open? I keep hearing people talking about who the next coach is going to be there.

I can't imagine Bullitt East being open. My gosh people that region is tough and they are top competitors every season up there. I mean what do they expect? To beat Doss/PRP/Desales/Fairdale year in and year out?

No not for that reason . Bob Blackburn had been retired for years & came out of retirement to help out 3 years ago due to the sudden loss of their coach & decided to stay & finish out with this group of seniors. My guess is he will be back on the beach after this year.

I'm hearing a lot of rumors in the 6 and 7th that a possibility of 4 top level job might open, being PRP (retirement) I will wait till season is over since a few of the teams are still playing.

6th region- 2 or 3 jobs

7th- 4 jobs

Man, that seems like a ton of openings? Hasn't there been quite a turnover in Louisville the last few years already?

How many jobs, typically, come open each year throughout the state?

Nice info 6th Region guy! It just goes to show you how difficult it is to find a good coach and keep them. The expectations are higher than ever before for coaches on the court and in the classroom. We expect HS coaches to coach like they are college coaches, but pay them a part-time salary. It is a shame how our schools, parents, and communities treat HS coaches.

No, Holmes job is not open. Coach L is still there.

Agree

I'm not looking to start rumors or to start a witch hunt. I'm just wondering if any head coaches from central Kentucky are stepping away from the game. I was wondering if any jobs will be open in the central part of the state.
