  1. I don't know about you guys when you were Bam and I's age, but if I had the opportunity to sign a 7-figure contract this June, I'd bring 5 pens just to be sure I don't run out of ink. The NBA draft is all about potential. You can't teach height. You can't teach (teach, not develop) elite athleticism. Bam has both. His 4th double double of the season last night too is a sign to me that Cal has him playing the right position. JMO.
  2. Denison will face Wabash again Tuesday in the first round of the NCAC tournament. Despite the Wittenberg-Wooster game not having started, the field looks to be set.
  3. As a former college basketball player, I can tell you location is one of dozens of factors to consider when looking to play at the next level. It is not the only variable between different schools.
  4. Twitter I think a college coach sees this video and says "This is a kid we can develop."
  5. AAPL has been rising since the positive 4th quarter earnings report. Got into Nike before the All-Star Game custom shoes and up 7%. Diversified with a bad choice - UAA. Computer and video game company Activision (ATVI ) has gone up but decreasing market value despite high returns. Likely going to short after the weekend sets in.
  6. Kawhi Leonard at 50th? No way. He has such a Jordan style game, and has shown he can improve as he's getting older. Could become a top 10 player as long as he's healthy and Poppovich is in San Antonio.
  7. I think some people underestimate his passing ability. It is hard to guard/tip the ball when he holds it 8 ft in the air, and he has great vision on the court. He's been working at ASAP with the rest of the team so he has the strength to put some speed on his passes. He's also a rebounding machine and will only get better as he grows into his body. You simply cannot teach height. He may be one of the highest D1 players out of CCH in a while if he keeps up the improvement.
  8. Can we talk basketball? How does CJ look in his 2nd game back? Were there any adjustments made that allowed the Colonels to pull away in the last 2:05? Who are SK's main players?
  9. Thanks to the both of you for patronizing me. Yes I'm aware there are non Louisville fans in Louisville as I was not born yesterday. Do you think ITS POSSIBLE that when the NBA was approached by whoever about putting a team in Louisville thought and asked, "How's the attendance at the city's current highest level of basketball?" Is there a slight possibility that a city's division 1 basketball attendance could be a factor, or is it completely irrelevant?
  10. Would the existence of a market of elite basketball fans be relevant?
  11. This would be pretty awesome, but unless U of L games start selling out standing room only for seasons at a time it can't happen.
  12. The Wittenberg loss really seems to have rattled Denison. Lost 3 out of last 4?
  13. Maybe relevant: Because I went to Israel and got my passport stamped, I would be unable to enter Iran, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria or Yemen. Travel bans are not a new thing.
  14. I believe he practices only on "scout team days" as he is pursuing other interests. That's probably all I'm able to share at this time.
  15. So I went to the Rockets @ Pacers game this Sunday. It is a hobby of mine to attend Mass in different cities and countries whenever possible. I attended 4 pm Mass at St Gabriel's just 12 minute northwest of Indianapolis. As it turns out, I was the ONLY non Spanish speaking person in the congregation. During the homily (the only part of the Mass I couldn't understand), there were a few words that I did understand: "El Presidente Trump" and "Syria, Iran, Iraq." I would have loved to have understood what the priest said to the Spanish speaking people, many of whom I imagine emigrated themselves or have parents who were immigrants.
  16. 10 teams in the conference. Top 8 teams automatically qualify for the NCAC tournament. Top 4 teams play at home. Team that wins NCAC tournament earns AUTOMATIC bid to the big dance. Other teams who make the big dance qualify via an at large bid, which takes into account who won the regular season conference, wins vs ranked (good) teams, and losses vs bad teams (generally under .500). Wittenberg I believe is now in 4th place after beating Depauw and Denison back to back on the road. Denison Wooster Ohio Wesleyan Wittenberg Hiram Depauw Wabash Kenyon Allegheny Oberlin
  17. Jaelin Williams! 23 points and a pin off the backboard as time expires! Wittenberg down for about 25 straight minutes until a Shane Edwards floater off the backboard with 4.7 to go. Tigers were down 16 in the second half...lots of steals and deflections in the press really flustered the Big Red down the stretch. This marks Wittenberg's first win against a ranked opponent this season. Was really impressed with Muerer. He seems to get better and better each year. Woolard hit some big 3's in the first half that helped build the lead. Speelman couldn't find his rhythm today. I supppse the 2 quick fouls plus the presence of 6'10" Chad Roy contribute to that.
  18. It doesn't matter if they perform 3 abortions per year (rather than the 3% they claim). Federal tax money does not need to be given to them. Why is it that if you kill a pregnant women, you'll be charged with a double homicide? Why is it that if you touch the eggs of a turtle on the beach, you'll be fined? If you still want an abortion, pay for it yourself. I don't want my tax money to be given for a cause that ends an innocent life.
  19. Always have seen your username, never connected it to Dension's top 2 players. Speelman and Meurer are a handful to guard, let me tell you. Let me know if you ever plan on attending a Wittenberg game!
  20. Had no idea there were NCAC basketball fans on this site! I had the best seat in Pam Evans Smith Arena . Slow start for the Tigers. Early game. Low attendance. Then defensive specialist Mike Morgan forced some ugly shots, Jaelin Williams looked like his usual self scoring at will, and reserve posts Chris Sloneker and freshman Connor Seipel provided some key minutes for the 4th best defensive team in division 3. The Wittenberg Tigers continue conference play this Wednesday night at Depauw (IN).
  21. Assuming that means he'll be imprisoned here I think its safe to say his days of escape are over.
  22. Russell Westbrook, who currently has more triple doubles this year than all 10 starters. COMBINED.
  23. I got called for a missed dunk attempt my sophomore year in JV warmups at Campbell County. My coach making fun of me may have been worse than getting the T. I like how my sophomore year of college they changed the rules so that dunking is now permitted in warmups (at least in the NCAA).
