  1. I plan on shopping there when I have a house this summer because my parents have told me about good food for good prices there. The only difference is I call it ALDI!
  2. Fair enough. I will stand by my statement though that CCH coaches teach the players to treat every game like this one, since most schools see "Covington Catholic" on a jersey as a "target," meaning (for some schools) the biggest game of the year is against the Colonels. But I like what you said in post #83; its like what Cam Newton said: If you don't want them to talk, you have to shut them down.
  3. Cincinnati.com Article: A question: Why was this called the "Bluegrass-Buckeye Charity Classic" when the field at BB&T included no teams from the Buckeye state?
  4. Wants to talk? I think he is just implying that CCH intends to take every game, whether is be against Bellevue or NewCath, as a game that they have to play their absolute hardest and play to win. I do not see it as him taking a shot at NCC at all.
  5. I go to Fazoli's about 30 times a year. I always go with one of the "main dishes" (1-9), and get a salad and drink with it for something like $11.50.
  6. I've never had it or heard of it, but I live about 15 minutes from Beavercreek. It's a sandwich joint? Guessing it's pretty good?
  7. Will Nkysports.com or somebody be streaming the game? If not I'll be sure to listen online but I'd love to see how this plays out.
  8. El Chapo is a big soccer fan, and reportedly wanted to buy a team. Joaquin ?El Chapo? Guzman wanted to buy Chelsea? - | FOX Soccer Blog | FOX Soccer on MSN | FOX Sports on MSN
  9. What a great, great game. Spurs have won 23 (maybe more, at 8:30 am my brain is still waking up) in a row at home now. Kawhi is a Beast. Yes, I purposely put a capital "B." Pop and Craig Sager gave us another CLASSIC mid game interview. Pop: (jokingly) "Can't they send someone else out here?" Sager: "Sorry coach; its just you and me. Lamarcus Aldridge is 1/6 and Tim Duncan is 2/6. Do you have to establish --" Pop: (interrupting) "Do you have to tell me that stuff? I already know that! What's the question?" Sager: "How do you get them to be more involved in the 4th quarter?" Pop: *pauses* "I'll ask them nicely to shoot the ball better."   Gregg Popovich had his version of fun in this mid-game interview with Craig Sager - SBNation.com
  10. 37 in 3 quarters?! Steps Curry numbers... Impressive. Congrats to NCC on the win. Looking forward to Friday.
  11. I did not buy one, since the chances of me being struck by lightning while fighting off a shark attack are probably higher than me winning. On a side note, how great would it be if Steve Harvey announced the winning numbers? Ratings would go through the roof.
  12. JV is tough to coach for a multitude of reasons as Clyde said. The first few that come to mind: the roster is constantly changing with players moving up and down in the depth chart (due to performance, injury, grades, etc.), a lot of players don't like playing JV, the environments can be less than impressive. With that being said, I would agree that Pangallo and Otte are two of the best in NKY. I'll never forget after my senior year I played in an open gym and saw Jimmy Pangallo and the first thing he did was congratulate me on a great career and senior season. Class act.
  13. I read that there's one that blocks every page that mentions "Donald Trump." I know a lot of people who would consider that the best one ever created!
  14. I imagine most players who attend the Combine will declare. I just don't see a 19 year old who has DOMINATED his entire life not take the chance to make 7 figures while playing the game he loves and accomplishing what just about every youth basketball player in the world dreams about.
  15. Class act. I love the Bengals "Bad Boys" mentality on defense but Whit makes the perfect balance. Now if we could focus on winning a little more...
  16. Hold on now, who is complaining about the quality of food at McDonalds? You're paying $0.99 for a cheeseburger...what do you expect?
  17. Love it. He was one of my favorite UC players of the last few years, and he works as hard as anyone. Hope he has some success in the League this go around.
  18. Hate, hate, hate to see the Colonels lose, but if I do have to see them lose Holy Cross is one of the okay ones. Congrats to Ryan Schrand, his staff, and the players. Like I said in the update thread, the improvement of this program over the last 3-4 years is outstanding.
  19. Regardless of the outcome, Holy Cross's development from 2 years ago to now is OUTSTANDING
  20. Oh. My. Goodness. Disrespectful? What an absolute joke. The things that I've heard from student sections (both from within and on the court) are not even close to this. If they wanted to get rid of some actual inappropriate cheers - meaning ones that attack different socioeconomic classes, or the referee's personal lives - that would be fine. But cheers like "SCOREBOARD" and "AIR BALL" are what help make the high school basketball environment what it is today.
  21. Congrats to you and your team. 7th grade basketball is probably one of the best ages to coach. IMO its when the players are mature enough to put the team first and can develop their athleticism.
  22. The problem with Paul's campaign is his first agenda item is individual freedom, as opposed to popularity (like the rest of the candidates, R's and D's alike.). It's a shame, because I sure do love me some freedom, and really could not care much less what Donald Trump thinks about football or that Bernie Sanders plans to spend 18 trillion dollars that nobody, let alone the US Government, has. For whatever its worth, I was not and am not saying I would vote for Paul for a variety of reasons (mostly his foreign policies); he just seemed to be the best candidate upon the initial candidates to me. :thumb:
  23. Nice to see CJ do well in the gym that his uncle and grandfather basically built... Charlie and Joe Fredrick are legends at Greenhills (Winton Woods today). Also really good to see Cole and Flood put up double digit numbers. Winton Woods is usually a pretty big and physical team.
  24. The 2010's of Cincinnati Professional Sports: Perpetual Disappointment.
  25. Sounds like it will be a great environment for a Tuesday night. On a separate note, the last time Covington Catholic was at Holy Cross (February 2014), it was the first time the Colonel Crazies independently did the "He's Scared, He's Shakin..." cheer.
