I think some people underestimate his passing ability. It is hard to guard/tip the ball when he holds it 8 ft in the air, and he has great vision on the court. He's been working at ASAP with the rest of the team so he has the strength to put some speed on his passes. He's also a rebounding machine and will only get better as he grows into his body. You simply cannot teach height. He may be one of the highest D1 players out of CCH in a while if he keeps up the improvement.

Can we talk basketball? How does CJ look in his 2nd game back? Were there any adjustments made that allowed the Colonels to pull away in the last 2:05? Who are SK's main players?

I got called for a missed dunk attempt my sophomore year in JV warmups at Campbell County. My coach making fun of me may have been worse than getting the T. I like how my sophomore year of college they changed the rules so that dunking is now permitted in warmups (at least in the NCAA).

Awesome piece on him. Coached him in AAU this past year. Jake is a scorer but he's always a team player, in ways. Hope he gets his opportunity to play at the next level.

Yes...Actually saw this happen this year in my team's 2nd game of the season. Player A (on the home team, FWIW) was on a breakaway layup. Player B (my teammate) goes up and actually sends the ball to the second row. Lots of body contact. Should have been called a foul. Our coach went ballistic when they called an intentional. I was told the foul was for "excessive contact" (which I've never heard of) despite Player B's successful attempt at the ball.

Age, too.

Likely out of the KHSAA's control, but playing high school games during a UK game seems to always draw smaller crowds.

NBA/College are 1A and 1B. High school is a close 2. I'll watch any other men's game (and women's Uconn and OSU) at any level with pleasure. The higher the level, the better.

Seems to be more of a bench celebration rather than on court IMO. That's why not as many are upset.

2 teams with talented rosters, phenomenal coaching staffs, incredible wills to win, passion, fire, energy, determination, and heart. That is who the game will be decided by. Not the referees or some pregame handshake.

Congrats to HC on a great, great season. They won some games they were not expected to and have shown tremendous improvement as a program over the last few years. Today, they were simply out sized IMO. Never were really able to establish any inside presence, forcing them to live or die by the 3 (note: this could have been the case all year, today was my first day seeing them play)

The last two years basketball championships have been as close as 2 schools can get... Scott County wins football, Runners-up in basketball 2014 Owensboro wins basketball, Runners-up in basketball 2015 We've got some solid, solid athletic programs in the bluegrass. :thumb:

Will this game be broadcasted/streamed?

BB&T Arena has had some issues with student sections jumping (rightfully so) and damaging the bleachers, but I've never heard anything about issues with a poster.

I used it and now play a Division III sport. It is like any tool in the world: It only works if you do. If you take advantage of the web seminars and call the former coaches who work for NCSA and use the resource library, it is worth the money. It is NOT something that you sign up for and then offers start instantly pouring in.

The CCH student section has been doing this for years against teams they blow out. I think the players will laugh about in in 10 years. Or maybe 10 weeks.

One thing about Matt Wilson that you don't find among most other high school players is that he brings it. Every. Single. Night. No doubt about it in my mind, he works hard and is always fun to watch. Also, assuming the numbers in post #1 are career points and boards? Either way, Wilson's a very talented high school athlete.

I used NCSA. The fact of the matter is the service will work, if you work. Recruiting is like a job. NCSA and similar sites give you the tools and support to get recruited. Pricey, but I now know that when/if my kids are looking to play in college I won't have to pay for a service since I learned about the whole process my senior year.

Who does Moeller have this year? Any future D1's or D2's?
