Nice quick smooth release. Nice on the catch and shoot. Really nice handle to get him shots. Strong going to the rim , again, especially with his off hand.

 

My guess (again, only a guess) is that his body type and quickness will keep him from getting offers at the level his numbers might suggest.

 

It's going to be a long time (again, my guess) before anyone at Scott puts up those career numbers. Helluva run.

I've always thought he has a higher ceiling in baseball.

Question because I've only seen each a couple times in person when in town. Why is CVH considered a better prospect than Ohmer , from my limited viewpoint I'd take Ohmer. I know CVH has the much better supporting cast.

I would agree . Kid can play baseball.

 

And that's not to say I don't think he can hoops at the next level. He could certainly play hoops.

 

The kid was also a very good football player as well. Had he stuck with football, we'd be talking about him in that sport as well.

 

The only athlete at Scott that compares to Jake's all around ability in my recent memory is Zach Sowder, who could have played any of three sports in college (football, which he did play at Georgetown, wrestling, and baseball).

I've seen simply both quite a few times, and as good as he is in basketball, he is that much better at baseball.

For what it's worth, these numbers do not align with what is on Rihards. It has him at 22 PPG. Other than his FT % the %'s are not that great. The Curious to see if his PPG is lower next year with a new coach that may not give him free reign to shot any time he wants?

 

The most impressive stat is how many times he got the the line. He is fantastic at getting to the line and scored almost 7 points per game. Fun kid to watch. Absolute nightmare to guard.

Outstanding athlete. Great at baseball and basketball. And from what I heard could be just as good in football.
