Can CCH contain Weyer without having much size to throw at him? Can NCC win without Weyer having 25?

Your post sums it up. It is all about Ben Weyer. I have a hard time seeing Ben being able to beat CCH alone. A couple other players for NCC will need to play their best game of the year.

4th ever meeting in the 9th region final between Covington Catholic and Newport Catholic. The three previous meetings all won by the Colonels: 1970, 1971, 2006. I am hoping I can finally get a pre-tournament Sweet 16 pick correct in the 9th region by going with the 'Breds.

I was hoping for this matchup. I was either going to see region 6 final or region 9 and I think this will be the one to see. Weyer is poy in the region vs the top overall team. Sounds like both of these teams will be up for a while and have a nice future. Cov Cath is especially young. Give me Cov Cath by 7 and Weyer drops 23, CVH with 19

If NCC plays as poorly as they did in the first half today they'll be out of it by halftime.

NewCath is playing very good basketball right now. Wouldn't surprise me to see them get the W.

I think Ben Weyer and the determination of the Anderson kids are enough for NCC to win. I've watched these guys play for years, and always felt this could be the year.

If NCC shoots the 3 like they did today, specifically in 2nd half then they can win.

 

I dont think CovCath will allow that so I am going with CovCath in a close one.
