I never thought that anything could ever possibly slow you down, but then again...

I didn't see the first matchup but I seem to recall people saying Heppler did a nice job defensively on Ben.

 

 

 

Hepp and Ziggy both are out with injuries. That will be interesting to watch.

 

Yes, this will be something. I was surprised to see Ziegelmeyer in warmup gear only tonight. Did not know he was also injured. That said CCH does a great job of "team rebounding"...tipping balls, scrapping for loose balls, etc.

 

On the flip side, NCC has had two great Halves the first two games. The other halves, not so much.

 

Still, ask any ardent follower of the 9th region if NCC would take a double digit win over Cooper followed by a big victory over HC, they would take it in a heartbeat and feel good about their chances. I'm going to choose to look at the two good halves of basketball they've played and feel NCC has gotten their sea legs.

 

Tomorrow, I think Weyer and Hall play better than the last game vs CCH and without Heppler and Zigelmeyers size leaning on Weyer I can see NC breaking through for the W.

I suppose Walter could get more time but we'll have to see how Coach Ruthsatz plays it.

Further, the winner of this game will play for the State Title. Yes, the 9th will beat the 6th in the opener and continue to roll from there. Not a stretch for CCH being ranked #1 but NCC has a chance too. (Here is where the arrows are shot from 'round the state...)

CVH vs Andersons- Not sure which one but I'm guessing one of them gets this task.

Fredrick vs Moeves Two of the best shooters in the 9th.

Mayer vs Weyer - This will be a key matchup, can Mayer keep Weyer off the boards?

I'm seeing the State Finals as being Christian County vs. the 11th Region Champs (Dunbar or Scott Co.) with the 11th Region taking the crown.

 

As tough as both CovCath and NewCath are I don't think either are in the same league as the top dogs of the 11th.

I agree with you. CovCath or NewCath is good but neither one would beat Christian County. Christian Co has upper level talent over either 9th region teams.

Ben Weyer has a more complete game than Carson Williams(and CW is really tough).

This should be a great game, NCC is on a hot streak and I don't see them cooling down. With that I'm taking NCC by 9

 

I'd say the same for CCH who have won 17 in a row!

CovCath will probably win and go on to win state but I hope NewCath pulls off the upset!!!

This will be fun. Two rival basketball teams fighting for the region. I predict a defensive battle with both offenses struggling till the late 3rd.

I've heard more people say I don't want this team to win or that team. Based on history I think more people are hoping for an NCC win to knock off CCH nice little run.

AJ guarded Weyer early but picked up a couple of fouls. If he is to guard him tomorrow night he will need to stay out of foul trouble.

 

Weyer also picked up 2 quick ones and threw off his chance to play into the game.
