To be honest with you, I think Ryle has lost a few of there better players to Football and wanting to focus on only that sport. Ryle just wasnt nearly as talented as Cooper and it showed last night. They kept it pretty close for about 1.5 quarters then Cooper just turned it on!

I have noticed that a site listed the start time at 4:30 while another says 4. Can anyone confirm which is accurate?

A few days early but Cooper will travel up I-75 a bit to take on Elder. Last year, Cooper handed them their first loss. What does Elder have this year and what does everyone think of this one? Should be a fun one. Will JV play before hand or is this just varsity?

No. I honestly think he just doesn't know the rules of announcing. It is a parent of a student who was just filling in and is kind of the fill in Guy for the regular announcer. It is a new announcer this year and this wasn't him. The other guy had a conflict for both games but should be back from here on out. It is not a task a lot of people want to do but everyone is quick to criticize. The guys gives up his time to come out and do that for nothing and just genuinely loves Cooper. Nothing wrong with that

Not a typo. If I remember correctly Conner did not score until about 1:30 left in the 1st quarter

To deflect blame only to Lafayette and take up for Trinity after last night is nothing but lazy. Not a good night for both teams. Even the mighty Trinity can lose their composure people, it's ok

CCH and Cooper are already on the schedule for next year. I believe it is like week 4 or somewhere around there.

Holy Cross travels to Cooper tomorrow night to take on the Jags in the season opener. What are everyone's thoughts on the matchup?

Not a knock on WC of the rest of 4A, but a question. Is JC that good this year or is 4A really really down outside of JC and FS? No semi final game should be that lopsided if you ask me

That was partially it Clyde, but also they did not have one administrator in town to come out for the scrimmages so instead of cancelling or rescheduling they moved it off site. As far as the scrimmage went Kunkel looked phenomenal early and struggled a little more late but Cooper looked really good in the 3 quarters I watched

I watched about every film on Ryle and they did the muddle in all of them. They may not have ran plays in it but they definitely did it most of the year

Not a ton of teams get the amazing feeling of practicing on Thanksgiving. Luckily, I have had that opportunity twice at Cooper in the last 5 years. It is absolutely amazing. Early morning practice, parents bring donuts and coffee and watch practice. Before practice team has a light team breakfast and watch some film! It is awesome!! Nothing more awesome to me than showing up late to Thanksgiving family time and telling everyone, "sorry, I was at football practice getting ready for ____________."

A lot of these kids do not need to get on this site to see this. Just go to a high school sporting event like football or basketball and sit in the stands and listen to some of the parents!!! It is sad to say the least and helps me to remember when my child is that age to just enjoy the ride and not live vicariously through them! I get disgusted the way parents talk about other players, coaches, other teams, etc. I realize sports are passionate and parents want to see their kid succeed, but come on man, when your kid is embarrassed by your actions, it is time to tone it back about 5 notches lol

That has been their M.O. all season and it had worked for them. It just didn't work out that night for them. I think it would be dumb if they never did it before and just decided to do it but that's not the case

I know one thing, there could be a lot of players that we think should have made the list that didn't and make arguments for. But the fact that Hendrix, (the best DB in Northern Kentucky) didn't make either team and only made it for receiver is laughable. That is an obvious miss. Other than that, congrats to all of those young men on a nice honor and for working hard to be some of the best in the area.

I like the rankings and I like where Cooper is. I think they are a little under rated in this poll, but I also believe we will see them in the top 10 EARLY in the season especially with Hendrix playing! They are going to be really, really good

Should say, "Trinity Vs. St. X - State Championship a week early!" Lol. As much as I like other teams having the chance to play in BG and possibly spring an upset, this is the 6A state game

I do not want to belittle a team at all, just curious as to who everyone thinks has the easiest game tonight? At this point in the year every game should be a challenge, but there will definitely be a game or two with lop sided victories. So what do we think? I am going to go kind of obvious and say Trinity or Belfry.

What is the reason for the lack of success? Coach struggling to get players out? Not a lot of talent? I find it hard to believe one of the biggest schools in the state doesn't have the talent.

Took a couple days to get over the sting of losing and watching kids like Hendrix and Roksvag, among others leaving the Cooper program. This game could and should have been closer, but Cooper just did not execute when they needed to. Credit Ryle for making the plays! It was 21-7 and Cooper dropped a wide open pass in the endzone at the end of the first half that could have possibly changed the complexion of the game after halftime, but who knows. Ryle was the more talented team overall and for Cooper to win they needed to play just as well on O as they did the first meeting and even better defensively. Neither of those things happened Friday night. Ryle was able to capitalize on Cooper mistakes and that is the difference in the ball game. Congrats to Ryle on the win and good luck against Scott County Friday night. This Cooper fan will be watching for sure. Congrats to Cooper on an overall successful season. Didn't end how we wanted but last year's seniors was a special group and losing all but 2-3 starters on each side of the ball is a tall task to replace. These kids did a tremendous job of doing so. The future looks bright for the Jags with a talented freshman class and a talented 8th grade team coming in next year. Time to get back to work and get ready for next season!

Not sure what Highlands has to do with this game or the fact that it was the first game of the year, but it is almost here and everything will be taken care of tomorrow at 7:30. Look forward to the big showdown tomorrow and hopefully both teams stay injury free

Cov Cath maybe if they are clicking on all cylinders? Even if Cov Cath plays a PERFECT game I think Bowling Green would still win by 7-10
