Big shout-out to all the Breds, including Trent Wrobleski who made 1st Team Offense and Defense, not bad for a kid who's sister had to convince him to play last year. :thumb:

A little surprised that Racke didnt make 2nd team. Congrats to everyone on the list and considered. Shout out to Tanner Lawrence for making 2nd team. Quite an accomplishment as a sophomore.

I was going to say the same about Jared Lonaker. He not only led NKY in passing but also the state. I thought he at least deserved 2nd team

honors.

 

For those not familiar with his accomplishments in his only year starting as a varsity qb Jared threw for over 3000 yds in 11 games (over 500 more than Tanner Morgan who had more games 12). He also threw for 31 TD's (8 more than Tanner Morgan who again had more games to do so) and had only 6 INT's compared to 7 by Morgan.

 

What hurt Lonaker this season was it was his first and only season as a starting qb and no one knew of him going into the season. If any other qb in the area had previous seasons as a starter they would be lauding his accomplishments and stating he was one of the best in the state but because he was unheard of people continue to dismiss one of the best seasons in NKY history.

Surprised Dante Hendrix didn't make any team at DB. Congrats to all nonetheless.

Congrats to all. Surprised Luke Vance wasn't selected as WR for Simon Kenton. Kid had an outstanding senior season.

I was surprised about Hendrix he made the Bluegrass All KY Team as a corner but didn't make 1st Team Corner doesn't make since. Also, surprised McKenney made 2nd Team. After tying with Hendrix for 2nd in the State in Int's with 6 and leading a what was supposed to be a Unknown Year for the Tigers. Only 3 players were selected to 1st Team lower than 6A( Wrobleski,Townsend, & Barnes). Someone definitely should have made 1st Team Offense or Defense.

Congrats to those young men but I would prefer players only be named to an all star team at one position, except kickers could also be named at an offense or defense position. It would be better to see more players getting recognition.

They should do big school and small school divisions. There is no way you can compare the players from 1A and 2A schools against 5A and 6A. Schedules are completely different and more challenging at the 5 and 6A levels. That way kids from all over NKy would get recognition compared to like players. It is ludicrous to leave off a kid because they feel obligated to put kids in from small schools that do not play near the schedule week in and week out.

On the flip side it's ludicrous to leave a player off from a small school, just because a player played for a bigger school. There are plenty of players on small schools that would also start if they played at are big school.
