Well deserved by Taylor, the only senior Bluebird to make the list. Agreed a lot of fun to watch. Dunn was excellent as well as Venneman who also made second team. Looking forward to watching them next year.

I missed Sam Taylor of Highlands on the list kudos to him, he gave 110% every play and made probably over 200 first hits in his career.

For those interested in final stats for Cooper QB Jerod Lonaker:

Lonaker threw for over 3200 yards, 202 completions on 352 attempts with 32 TDs with 7 INT. Lonaker also rushed for over 400 yards and 8 TDs. Cooper running back Jayden Jackson also rushed for over 1100 yards in the high powered offense.

While breaking just about every school passing record, according to NKY Tribune reporter Terry Boehmker, Lonaker also became only the 8th NKY QB EVER to throw for over 3000 yards in a single season. He was also the only the 7th NKY QB EVER to complete over 200 completions. (Dante Hendrix caught about 70 of them, even when double teamed!)

Great season for a great group of athletes. Good luck to all the NKY players in their collegiate pursuits and congrats to all those selected!

Very impressive. Did he go to any camps this summer? With his heights and the season he had he should garner some college interest.

No Hendrix on Defense? Way off. Vance (SK) and Lonaker (Cooper) statistically belong on the offense list. Should not make one difference how long a player has started. Lonaker belongs. Jake Chisholm has got the "it" factor.

Butler kid (CCH) makes allstar for both sides of the ball. Butler was rarely targeted on offense which is interesting. According to the stats, he had 5 INT's, 3 returned to the house. Who else is doing that on the 1st team? Every time the news was on I would see him doing something. Anxious to get to see him live next year.

Kids can not control which class they play in. They can only be judged on their performances. Congrats to the athletes on this list.

Does anybody have an idea of who is getting looks and where?

Lonaker went to the USA Football Camp in Louisville over the summer. Coaches from Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky are contacting him to play. Hoping for good things to happen for him and all the other football players out there!

Shutting out Ryle's OL, Ross and Bisek and their DL, Pendleton is a little surprising.

Ryle's '17 OLineman, Chase Ross landed an offer from Morehead State today. So if your counting, that's 2 OL that were snubbed from Ryle that have D1 offers (Bisek '18 - Toledo). That's just the left side of the line. If your gonna have a All NKY Snub List. Put these two at the top.

I totally agree, both should be on that list and should be 1st team. Let's not forget Pendleton on defense either, he proved that he was as good if not the best DT in NKY this year.

I have to agree with you and KY Outsider. If not for Ryle's O-Line they would not have had near the season they had. Tanner Morgan owes a ton of credit to his line that kept him very clean in the pocket and opened up some huge holes for Chisolm to run through. If not for the line, Ryle may have had a tough time winning 7 games this year. Their line was the teams MVP if you ask me.

I'd have to disagree. While their line was much improved, Chisholm made the line look better than they were but making guys miss or on cut-backs when they missed blocks. Their pass protection was also suspect. Teams just didn't blitz because Morgan either got rid of the ball quickly or broke out of the pocket for a positive gain. The true test will be next season when 4 of the 5 starters return, but with no passing threat to speak of.

No question that offensive MVPs were Morgan and Chiz. Yes they did make the line look good no question. My earlier post was just the Snubbed left side. Now, keep in mind I'm partial. Behind my wife, I'm the second biggest fan of one of them. My son has played with Chiz since 7th grade. He has been making him look good for years. I'm just glad there are some D1 coaches that feel he is worth an offer. I'll trade an offer for a All NKY team any day. I just feel he and Ross should be considered for a the Fictitious All NKY Snub Team : ) I also agree with you in regards to next year. Will be interesting to see if Ryle becomes more run dependent. Pretty balanced this year. 294 pass attempts vs 398 rush attempts

He has another year to make the team.

They should do big school and small school divisions. There is no way you can compare the players from 1A and 2A schools against 5A and 6A. Schedules are completely different and more challenging at the 5 and 6A levels. That way kids from all over NKy would get recognition compared to like players. It is ludicrous to leave off a kid because they feel obligated to put kids in from small schools that do not play near the schedule week in and week out.

Not the way some schools schedule. :lol2:

He has another year to make the team.

To be honest, wasn't much concerned about the snub. Thought Ross definitely deserved it. He was a 3 yr starter at Ryle and a heck of a leader, teammate and mentor to my kid.
