I care enough to know that thousands of dollars are poured into that field every year to make it look nice in August. I care enough to know that myself and other individuals have put in numerous hours on that field. I also know that whoever built the field set it up for failure from the beginning as it sits in a hole and drains very poorly. I hear a lot of people complaining about Cooper's field but no one wants to jump in and help when it comes to fixing it

Maybe not a PI but possibly unnecessary roughness since they are hitting a kid out of bounds

I wouldn't say a 7 point win is "that much better" but Ryle definitely was better tonight obviously. They were all over both SK QB's tonight

I agree. He could be a nightmare for teams. Wasser at 6'5 at Cooper is one of the biggest bodies I can think of in the region and he is still going to be giving up a lot of size, but has the body to be physical with Walters. It will be fun to watch. Do you think all of the talent around Walters will limit his dominance any? I.E. Not as many touches?

Again, I look at the stats and I just don't see the logic. Jackson averages over 110 yards a game and Cooper throws it more. But, I guess we will see how it all shakes out on Saturday.

Obviously I slightly disagree being a Cooper fan, but more out of curiosity, how do you think the offense's are even? Especially with Cooper scoring 42 on Ryle and Conner scoring 28?

This is accurate. I believe they originally planned for SK/Ryle but the above post is correct that they turned it down due to homecoming purposes. I believe they then went to Conner/Cooper and they agreed to move the game to Saturday night. SK and Ryle play on Friday night

If Ryle and SK are on TV it is Friday night, Cooper and Conner play on Saturday. Maybe they are covering both games

Did not see a thread started on this game, so just thought I would get everyone's thoughts on the match-up Friday. Is this somewhat of a trap game for Cooper? Last week was Ryle and Conner is next week on live TV. Plus, this is homecoming for Cooper and a short week of school coming off of Fall Break. What are everyone's thoughts? I think too much offense for Boone to handle and Hendrix, Jackson, and Lonaker have big nights. Cooper - 42 Boone - 14

I would definitely not say that Ryle's offense outplayed Cooper's on Friday but that is opinion on opinion. Ryle won by a TD, and scored on a kickoff return for a TD. I think that Ryle's defense played slightly better than Cooper's which was the difference in the game. Offenses were about as even as you could possibly be. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if Cooper had more yards offensively than Ryle, but I am not sure if that is the case or not. It is definitely close! Either way, this is about Ryle and Conner. I think that Ryle will struggle to stop the big RB from Conner, but I do not know if Conner will be able to score enough to play with Ryle or limit Ryle when they are on the field defensively. We will find out how good Conner is this week. I do think it will be close, somewhere in the 14 point range for Ryle. The fact that it may rain Thursday and they play on grass could definitely help the Cougars though, in my opinion.

I'm not there everyday so I can't comment on whether or not the coaches are working as hard as the players but that doesn't seem really fair to the staff. They have been destroyed with injuries and just aren't really that good this year. I do agree that they probably shouldn't platoon but that's what they do and they are going to stick with it. If it is true that the coaches are selling the kids short, then that is a shame! Usually that is the other way around

It was a great game tonight in Union, unfortunately Cooper came up a little short. Both offenses did a good job of exposing the other teams defense. Cooper struggled to stop the run again and Ryle had no answer for Hendrix with a nice sprinkle of Jackson. At the end of the day, Ryle made a couple more plays than Cooper and that was the difference in the game! Congrats Ryle and back to work for Cooper. Can't let this game hinder the rest of the season/post season

I think you have to take into account the difference in football from even here in KY, which isn't exactly a hot bed of high school football but is solid, and how much worse it is there in Washington. Basically this prep school has the size of most football teams here. A few guys over 3 bills and a bunch of dudes over 225 lol

Oh, now you know that poll doesn't mean anything. Look at the Ryle/Cooper poll last year. A lot of the same. It didn't work out that well. I think being the underdog is a lot more fun than playing as the favorite in a game. Nothing to lose!

I think this could be a good game if Campbell plays a clean game. When they played Ryle they had chances in that game to keep it close but made a lot of mistakes. They have to be able to score on Conner's D and limit the RB for Conner. I do think Conner gets this win by somewhere in the 14-17 point range.
