  1. So much for Casey beating Boyle. If Boyle Plays Elkins right, no one in this region can stop him. There is no big man in this region his caliber. No one can stop Elkins and he can stop everybody around the rim. If Boyle can find the ball handling they need, they too will contend for the region. They will be the biggest and strongest team in the region with Mack Cox, Jase Sharp and Josiah Robbins. Those guys are strong big and football tough. In my opinion the will need to play a little like the old piston teams, but if they do it will be hard to match their size and strength. Elkins 6'7, Cox 6'5 and big, Sharp 6'4, the freshman will be 6'6 and big, finally Josiah 6'1 and very strong and competitive to the max.
  2. What did you see from them last year that makes you this think they can win more than 6 games, other than the fact that 4 a is depleted. I am saying six with skepticism, because George Rogers may get them, and I am assuming west and east don't improve.
  3. Mercer will improve, record at best will be 6-4. They will not beat Lafayette, Anderson, South Western, or Taylor County.
  4. I understand that Robbins has D-1's after him in football and baseball, and a couple in both. He can play anything well including tennis and golf. He is the last of a disappearing breed the three sport athlete. He does play basketball as well.
  5. Tyler Dunk, and Robbins- man rebound and put back, put Boyle in the position to win the game. Good job Boyle, we are as good as anyone, let's prove it again tomorrow.
  6. Boyle County returns over 20 seniors, the best coaching staff in 3 A, and the best quarterback in 3 A. They will be there in the end.
  7. Hold up. It is a long season, and some coaches are better down the stretch than others. Somebody will have to beat wayne come tourney time and Adams teams at Boyle are always a lot better at the end of the year than the First.
  8. Wow, what does that do for Boyle, to get the best athlete in the school to join the team. I believe he was on the all region team last year as a sophmore, had a heck of a game against west jess in the region tourney. Best defender and strongest guy on the team, can also get 15 a night when needed.
  9. I believe D1 schools would recruit him in football as an athlete. This boy avg over 20 yds per catch as a feshman in varsity football. Also dependingon the system he could play a lot of different spots. However, baseball is probably his biggest ticket. He is unbelievable on the diamond in every facet of the game. I also heard a couple of pro scouts have already talked to him and he has 2 seasons to go in High School baseball. The sky is the limit in baseball.
  10. I will say after seeing Robbins arm last night, one pass which was at least 60 yards in the air, he could be the best QB in the state next season.
  11. I will go on record now saying, whoever wins this game will go up North and win. Both of these teams have hit their stride at the right time. Both QBs are dangerous. Ryan being a better passer and Robbins a better runner. Both have good backs, something the north teams do not and Lex Cath can score in a hurry, and Boyle can too now. Boyle has the best D and special teams of all the teams left in 4A.
  12. Good guy. Had some real competitive teams especially 2008~2010. He will be missed. Been battling a long time. I believe He and Josiah from Boyle are in the same family. Farewell to a great guy.
  13. Boyle County the only team in 4A with a coach who has won it all, does that matter, this time of year?
  14. Field was fine for this time of year and grass. They did a good job of rolling and getting it ready. Shout out to KC
  15. Josiah Robbins should be on this list. He may be the best player in the state this year as a junior. He is on several watch list, college and beyond. He plays shortstop, runs like a deer and hits for power and nearly 500.
  16. Things always change in the playoffs as we seen last year. I do not think HHS is a lock at all. Because, they do not have a rusher even close to Harris from last year, and the main back they do have may be out. Last year their Qb threw for over 4000 yds, that is a big deal. I do not believe HHS is as good as last year. Finally they were down 35 ~ 7 at the half against elder, surely elder pulled of the gas, they have bigger fish to fry than HHS. The other teams in 4A should be ready to play because it looks to me HHS is as down from what they have been the last 3 years successively .
  17. We act like coaches are the only people who take jobs and change their minds an d do something else for whatever reason. Happens all the time in every facet of life. So with that being said , Hilton will beat someone this year he is not supposed to. And next year he will win 5 or 6 and since 4a will be as weak as ever, he has a shot to be a contender, in a short time. Sime coaches just know how to get the most out of players and others do not.
  18. Taylor is a great move on Hiltons behave. Lex Cath, Boyle, Hhs, Cov Cath all gone next year. Hilton will be a contender in 2 or 3 years. 4a will be the worst in recent memory. He did take a 1~9 team and won the state the next year at Bourbon. Smart move, Look out next 4 years in 4a.
  19. I think catholic has to prove themselves defensively, station has a more potent offensive than LafAyette. No way Catholic holds them under 35, Catholic will have to out gun them. Bryan Station 42 LC 28
  20. Southwest gets first signature win under French, Southwest gets better every game if they buy in to French, SW 28 Belfry 23
  21. Mercer may be a top 5 team in 4a next year, when Boyle, Lex Cath, HHS, and Cov Cath are gone, it is not happening this year, they will be 3~7 at the end of the year, if they beat Marion.
  22. I feel like Boyles season has a little different feel to it, in that they are working to build a wall. They are working on the foundation to sure it up. Danville just anothet brick in the wall. Boyle will put them out early.
  23. Lex Cath is going to have to prove they can play defense against a good team, they couldn't do last year and they will have their hands full the next couple of weeks. Nobody duobts that Lex Cath can score, but can they stop anybody.
  24. 4 D-1 prospects? The only 1 that was a for sure D-1 transferred. I just read that Petrino did not keep the offer on the able for Ryan. So who are the D1 Guys?
