I might would set Jones out anyway, this game is not worth much in the big scheme. And Johnson Central like most mountain teams will hit hard. Jones will be exposed to more punishment this week than last.

Anderson may not be as strong this year as in the past, but I think Mercer will limp in and limp out. Kinda like a wondering pup. Something just is not clicking at Mercer. I agree with earlier post you would think that more guys would be out with a new face and one that was highly praised. The problem with district 5ime even though it is a weak district, is that by that time you may have no momentum and everybody else cones in thinking they can beat you. Lot of people said last week Lex Catholic was soft on the run defense. If that is true this week could be a long night for the Knights.

It looks like Harlan County is better than their first game. Limped out of the gate. So with 2 important players out for Belfry, could Harlan Co. Be in this game?

Does Belfry play the same style as Johnson Central?

Saying that if JC handles Lex Catholic the way they have Belfry, we may have more of a level playing field in 3A. But if not Maybe Lex Catholic is on a different level. Only curious. I like Johnson Central s program, but thinking about a parallel possibly.

Something I found interesting. With Catholic and Boyle coming to 3A, it will be interesting to see how Johnson Central fairs against L CATHOLIC. Because for the last 7-8 years Belfry has only beat JC maybe once, and usually JC handles them pretty good. Just curious

Sure we have all heard those things. To painting visiting locker rooms certain colors to impact the mood, having longer cleat spikes etc.

As far as scrimmages at camp, everyone does that who go to camp. Everyone would have to be put on probation, the Khsaa does whatever they please, they do not even play by their on rules half the time. Second I would have to see myself the filming incident, makes no sense, because of the way media is shared these days, why risk it. Finally, the field was not watered down, the boys up north wanted the field to be covered because of bad weather. They did not cover it, just let nature take its course, advantage Bell. Mean or smart you make the call.

My question is why is Covington Catholic going across the river to play when there is lots of good competition for them in NKY, many of which could beat them but not pound them like last week and it may keep the interest better and make more money, which all makes better since. It sounded like St X could have won 80-0 What good did that do for a program that has been in the middle of the pack for a long time.

Looks like Boyle plays Danville this week and Corbin plays Danville next week. I say Corbin and Boyle will both win, but interested in the margins.

Boyle, Corbin, Belfry, Bell should all win. The others maybe not this week. I say Central gets beat, Etown gets beat, Paducah gets beat and maybe Lex. Catholic.

Sounds like JC has the best kicker in the state, does he put it in the endzone everytime, if he does that will neutralize a part of Lex Catholic speed.

I have not seen a QB in a while that throws as good or better on the move than Robbins. He is a gunslinger.

Danville will not be able to stop Boyle at all. Boyle will score all night. Danville will need to score 50 points to win. They cannot get 8 or 10 big plays and I repeat that cannot keep Boyle put of the endzone. And those who have been at the Boyle games know that Josiah will be in the secondary before Smith allows too much out there. I take Boyle in a rout.

It is possible that they go 1-5, because those teams coming up are all good, they could be 3-3 as well.

Should be a great game between to state powers. Boyle will be better than last week, maybe Bell will too.
