Boyle County returns over 20 seniors, the best coaching staff in 3 A, and the best quarterback in 3 A. They will be there in the end.

I want to see a Boyle County vs Louisville Central or Belfry, BAD!

2nd year back under Chuck Smith. Don't bet against the Rebels this year. Josiah Robins great athlete in three sports. Look for the defense to be even better. Offense has to improve with new offensive coordinator whoever he is.

That's saying a lot considering they lost to a team in Lexington Catholic twice in 2014. In the series Boyle has lost 6 out of the last 7 to the Knights. I respect that staff and program but those 20 seniors haven't beaten LC in the postseason.

I think Robbins is a great player for them but until Chuck Smith shows he can put someone out there at safety besides him, Boyle will not win in November. He's dead tired after every 2nd quarter. Plays every down on offense. He's then jogging to the sideline every play to get the call, jogging to the huddle to give the play, and then executing the play. Then he's playing safety on D, he's tired guys. If he's your best player you're certainly not treating him that way. I think he will be in the running for Mr. Football no matter what, but I think he has a better chance at a state championship if he sticks to being a QB only...

You made some good points about Robins. I do think that he will get some rest on the defensive side of the ball in easier games especially. Hopefully he won't have to run to the sidelines as often this year with a new offensive coordinator.

Coach Pardue has the QB run to the sidelines so there won't be any change there. Maybe he can get a break at safety.

Reduce number of players going both ways. This works for easier opponents. Less so in the playoffs and the big district games.

Definitely good players - but development the not so good ones early in the season to increase depth.

I am not sure why you mentioned Pardue. He is not the OC.

You sure about that?

Yes, I am sure. You have to have openings for teaching positions. Who knows what may happen .down the road. Boyle has spring practice scheduled for mid April. Any new coaches would be in place and announced if there had been a hire. There has not been a hire.

So "If" a teaching position opens up and it is announced that Chris Pardue is the OC , you are saying you would be surprised?

Pardue would not be the 1st coach on staff at Boyle who worked at another local HS...................If he wants:popcorn:

I know there was a QB camp that was just ran a Boyle and it was ran by somebody named Pardue.
