Boyle County will travel to Lexington to take on the Knights of Lexington Catholic. This should be a great game. Has Boyle County improved enough to take down the Knights in the second meeting of the season in a Loser-goes-home matchup?

The other 2 years that Catholic beat Boyle in the regular season all I heard about Boyle was how much they had improved on offense and overall. Both times the improvements came from the fact that they had entered the easy part of their schedule, I'm saying the same thing is true this year.

LexCath by 2 TD's.

I think Boyle has improved enough to win take two. I think the loss to LC at mid season is what it took for the players to buy into Chuck Smith football I believe that Boyle has improved in all facets of the game, and as log as the game is officiated evenly this time around I'll take Boyle for the win.

It's tough to beat Chuck twice in the same year. Their were certainly some areas of concern the first game but I think their will be a couple of adjustments.

A key difference in the first game was the the passing games, Ryan for LexCath had a solid night (17-23-0, 3 TDs) with 80 more yards than Robbins (7-20-1, 1 TD). Ryan also did not through an interception, while the Rebels had one interception.

I would say the other factor was depth. Boyle has more two-ways than LexCath. The wear-down factor can be seen in TOP and lack of scoring in the 4th Quarter. Of course LexCath did not score in the last quarter either For the Knights the wear down factor may have impacted one player - Jaylen Jones who put up 184 yards rushing for the night. Boyle got 14 straight points to close a 19-3 deficent to 19-17 but slowed slightly towards the end of the game.

LexCath also had the 1 turnover advantage.

The scale could tip easily - it was a very close game and a couple of key breaks when to the Knights in the first outing. Boyle will need the lead in the second half and will need solid defense again. The Rebels kept Ryan well under his season average of 215 yards per game but could not find a way to stop Jones. Also the Rebels will probably need to open up their offense. Passing defense is still a problem area for the Knights.

The Knights need to play another solid game - few turnovers, few penalties, solid defense.

PP92, I've decided to come out of hibernation.

To answer your question. Yes, the Rebels have improved enough to beat the Knights. Boyle will have their work cut out for them though. As good as the Boyle defense is I feel that they will have to just slow Catholic enough to out score them. Easily said than done. It's tough to keep their offense out of the endzone.

I will take the Rebels 28-20. Good luck to both teams and I pray for an injury free game.

I believe that every time one of these two teams won the regular season matchup they also went on to win the playoff matchup. Now, Lexington Catholic is the favorite this game after their impressive victory over the Rebels during the regular season game. But I feel that if Boyle can keep the turnovers in check and stop giving up the big play then I believe they have a chance. Either way, I look for a good game.

Rebels win this time around. They're playing good football at the right time. Boyle wins by 2tds

Isn't every team(s) that are still playing... playing good football at the right time? Reason why they are still alive in the playoffs? LAME statement.
