Trinity's nasty run defense will present the biggest challenge of the year for the Camels. Can we fly in Al Michaels to do the broadcast? Maybe we can hope to hear "Do you believe in miracles? Yes!" at the end.

Physically, AJ Mayer looks the part of a top flight QB. His size and athleticism are there for sure. He throws a nice ball and is the real deal. Kam Butler is a physically imposing player. Coldiron also was very impressive to watch. Without knowing 5A football around the state, I’m willing to bet no other team has 3 players at those key positions who are better.

Congratulations! He is a complete RB. Surely he’s getting some interest as of late. Any word?

One has to wonder how long the Cov Cath starters will play. What would you do? Secure the undefeated regular season at all costs or rest your starters early to prevent pre-playoff injuries?

I’m pulling for Boone and hope they can pull off the upset. Those kids need something positive to take away from this game.

After an 0-7 start and the misery that came with it, Cooper is starting to benefit from staying strong and persevering. This is a great story with Lee, Schlarman and Neltner leading the way. That home playoff game is a nice reward. Congrats to the Jags!

This one is a killer.

This was the first game all year that CC allowed a big play on defense. They allowed a season’s worth of big plays in this game. Onward and upward, Camels.

Good grief. The Camels D is leaking oil.

The running lanes for SK up the middle are the size of interstate lanes.

CC better wake up quick. They have no answer for SK on either side of the ball.

Congrats to the Lady Stangs. That's a huge win. Disclaimer: I did not go to the game but I have a general observation. 1. Brossart earned this win and deserve to be district champs. 2. I don't care if CC had injured starters or not, they shouldn't have lost this game. This is the same old typical squad that CC has each year. They'll have a nice record, beating up on cupcakes in the 10th region, yet losing 90% of their games against 9th region opponents and also SK. Every year, come tournament time, the offensively challenged Camels will fall short yet again. 3. The previous statement is not an indictment on past and current Lady Camels players. It's an indictment of an inept coaching staff/system that produces the same dismal end-of-season results year after year. These girls deserve better.
