Just as I predicted! Congrats to the Young Jags on getting the 2 seed and getting to host a playoff game!

Congrats to the players, Coach Borchers and staff for fighting all season, staying the course and continuing to get better down the stretch. Good luck the rest of the way!!

Freshman qb for Cooper, Jeremiah Lee had a rushing td and 2 passing tds to senior Justin Schlarman. The last one being a 50 yard td on a great call down the middle with a minute left to tie it up Then junior female kicker I believe her name is Tori Neltner made the game winning extra point to make it 21 to 20. Conner had one last shot at the end but ended up getting stopped.

It was a great fun game to watch. These games always seem to come down to the end between these two, and this was another classic. Both teams kept making big plays after the other team made a play. Cooper made the last play to win this one.

Good luck to both teams next week and in the playoffs.

Cooper out-played, out-coached, and out-charactered Conner. On one side of the field - coaches working their tails off, kids competing and making plays, and a team that was invested in winning the game.

On the other side of the field - a leadership vacuum and kids who seemed to be more interested in getting on with the evening festivities than actually winning the game.

Cooper deserved this victory - they are better.

I saw Cooper against Boone last week and was very impressed with Justin Schlarman. Kid can really play!

Justin Schlarman has been starting varsity since he was a freshman. He has had a great career. So it's only right that the next player that started as a freshman is now Jeremiah Lee, and they took up for the winning td.

Congrats to Coopers coaching staff and players! These games have always been close (minus the first couple years at Cooper) and this one proved no different! Keep blocking the outside noise by people who don’t trust the process and you’ll continue to improve!

After an 0-7 start and the misery that came with it, Cooper is starting to benefit from staying strong and persevering. This is a great story with Lee, Schlarman and Neltner leading the way. That home playoff game is a nice reward. Congrats to the Jags!

That's what happens when you have such a young team. You are going to have a lot of tough spots early on. However it's about pushing through it and eventually you will see the benefits of it. The Cooper players and staff have done a great job staying together and can see it starting to pay off. As people say trust the process.
