Ryle has a high quality band program and they did a great job. The statues were creepy though. It felt very Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones.

This was a very good game that reminded me of a heavyweight boxing match. There were lots of momentum swings. CC took the opening kickoff and used 1/2 the quarter to score the opening TD. Ryle answered with a sustained drive of their own to tie it. Ryle added another score to go up 14-7 and the Camels were driving late in the half when a hook and ladder play was broken up by Ryle with a fumble at midfield with a minute or so left. Ryle capitalized and put another TD on the board to go up 21-7 at the half. This could've crushed the Camels as Ryle was due to get the ball to start the 2nd half and scored on every offensive possession it had so far. The Camels defense answered the call in the 3rd and stopped the Raider offense on 3 consecutive possessions. However, the Camels couldn't capitalize each time. CC put together a drive and pulled within 7 with a quarter of football left. It was back and forth from there but Ryle hung on to win. The Ryle run defense was phenomenal. Chisholm dazzled as usual, but the Raiders D was the MVP. A lot of credit goes to CC. They looked like they were in major trouble heading into the half and it looked like Ryle was ready to blow this thing open. You could also say that the Camels D was their MVP. Even though they gave up 28 points, they held the ship afloat in the 2nd half and gave their offense a chance to win. Even though we were on the losing side, that was one entertaining game. Congrats to Ryle. Good luck with the rest of the season.

This is a good test for the Camels run defense. Chisolm will get his yards but if CC can keep prevent the big runs, I like their chances. This will also be a test for the Ryle secondary. If Lickert wants to pass and Hoeh is on target, it will open the running game even more for Dowds. I feel like all 3 of these things need to happen for CC to pull out the win. It will take a complete football game but the Camels can certainly win this one.

Respectfully, I disagree. There's no doubt Marksberry and his staff are great coaches. I believe that the SK staff could do more with a weak roster than most NKY coaches could. However, SK doesn't have down cycles as far as talent goes. You can't sell me on the belief that open enrollment doesn't help SK when they always have the Jimmys and Joes.

And what happens if and when open enrollment ends in Kenton County? You know that's why SK is a sustained power in NKY, right?

For crying out loud, so what if the bus ride is quiet for Scott County? At least they scheduled Moeller and LaSalle.

I agree with @CardinalsFan, Scott County will struggle to score points. LaSalle 28-7.

Cooper has some nice talent and they'll be just fine when these guys mature in a year or two. The Jags came out ready to play and gave the Camels cause for concern early on. They just wore down. The sky is not falling at Horsebranch Rd. Jeremiah Lee is an impressive talent. He'll be a force in 2 years and will be Hendrix-like. I just hope he can stay healthy this year due to his size. The kid is only a freshman. Credit to the Camels D-Coordinator Meadows for making the necessary adjustments to right the ship early after Cooper moved the ball rather easily. Dowds is the engine for this Camels team. He is so fun to watch. The matchup next week at Ryle will be a must see, with Chisholm and Dowds atop the 6A rushing leaders.

Will Hammack's carries suffer?

Is the SK RB Sergent injured? I haven't heard his name mentioned this season.

This game is huge for Cooper. It would be foolish of the Camels to take the Jags lightly. Campbell County can be its own worst enemy at times and if they aren't mentally sharp, Cooper could still steal this one. If the Camels are ready to play, they should cruise in this one.

Belfry should win big. They'll have no problem running the ball against NCC. 42-7 Pirates.

Is Bisek back for Ryle?

I don't think the weather was a factor for either team. Only one fumble (CC) but there must've been over a dozen combined false starts. The Camels had more talent and it showed. Dowds pounded it out on the ground in typical fashion and Hoeh had a nice game through the air. I was surprised to see CC throw as much as they did in the rain but they managed rather well. I saw NCC RB Kelly was out of the game in the 4th quarter. I hope he's not hurt and the coaches didn't want to risk an injury in a game they couldn't win.

Are umbrellas allowed tonight?

This one kind of surprises me. I know Harrison is fielding its strongest team in a while but this one seems like an upset. Any opinions from fans that were there?
