Ryle defeated 5A #9 Highlands 49-27. Campbell County beat Cooper 47-27. This northern Kentucky backyard squabble has been owned by Ryle recently. The Raiders have won 3 of 4 in the series including 38-7 last year. Ryle has scored 34 or more points in each of their last three games in 2017. Henry Clay, Boone County were the victims in addition to the Bluebirds. The only blemish on their record is the 49-17 loss to 5A #1 Covington Catholic in the first game of the season.

Campbell County rushed for 339 yards and passed for 206 yards versus the Jaguars. The Camels allowed 313 total yards to Cooper in their winning effort. Their previous wins are against 5A Dixie Heights, 2A #7 Newport Central Catholic. Their lone loss is to 5A #9 Highlands.

I don't see Ryle stoping the Camels offense. Highlands passed for over 300 yards on Ryle.

Camels will be tough if its Dowd first and foremost. If Camels come out winging, it is going to be a long night.

Camels threw several tds last night.

Not saying Camels can't throw. But, when they are predictable, not their strong suit. When Dowd pounds them and defenses are concerned about him, Camels passing game becomes much more productive.

Some extremely good RBs in this one!

Ryle 32

Campbell 21

I feel like there could be an upset hiding in the woodpile though... Should be a fun one.

This game will show how good Campbell Co is. In my mind, they are the underdog even though they are having a good year. Ryle has a good defense despite what Cov Cath did to them. With the adjustments made on offense, Ryle will improve each week. That translates into an ability to score often and quickly. I think this game will show future opponents how to slow down the Camels offense. While I expect Campbell Co to put up a fight and give a good showing, I don't think it will be a close game. Ryle by 3 TDs.

This is a good test for the Camels run defense. Chisolm will get his yards but if CC can keep prevent the big runs, I like their chances. This will also be a test for the Ryle secondary. If Lickert wants to pass and Hoeh is on target, it will open the running game even more for Dowds. I feel like all 3 of these things need to happen for CC to pull out the win. It will take a complete football game but the Camels can certainly win this one.
