Wow, not a good showing for the Breds. What happened?

Brutal conditions.

Had to leave at the end of the 3rd. Soaking wet.

Couldn't keep the lens dry any longer as the wind was getting stronger.

I don't think the weather was a factor for either team. Only one fumble (CC) but there must've been over a dozen combined false starts. The Camels had more talent and it showed. Dowds pounded it out on the ground in typical fashion and Hoeh had a nice game through the air. I was surprised to see CC throw as much as they did in the rain but they managed rather well. I saw NCC RB Kelly was out of the game in the 4th quarter. I hope he's not hurt and the coaches didn't want to risk an injury in a game they couldn't win.

Mostly.

Dowds was a BEAST and the Campbell line did a nice job opening holes and getting him to the next level where he is so tough to bring down. For a RB that I would call a "slippery" runner on a dry night, tonight's conditions were perfect for him. The field drained really well and throwing the ball didn't seem to be a problem for either team. A couple of balls did go through kids hands on both teams but you see that on a normal night. Like Nachos said, the false starts were ridiculous and that was probably a result of the lack of concentration which could have easily been due to the weather.

 

Kelly fought hard for every yard tonight and I think the coaches pulled him when it was pretty obvious the outcome was in hand. Plenty to work on for NCC after this game which is a good thing early in the season.

Dowds having a big year!

Dowds is the real deal, I cannot believe he is not getting offers. College coaches nerd to take a better look, hard working skilled kid.

Sounds like Dowds is getting the same treatment as Chisholm. Schools are looking past obvious and apparent talent. Unfortunate.

Chiz is 5'9" 195 dowds is prob 6' 195ish. I know what your thinking, but watch their highlights. I'd bet they would both challenge anyone for playing time on the next level. Any level. Can't speak for Dowds, but Chiz carrys a 4.0 GPA. I spoke to both Ohio and EKU coaches about him. They asked my opinion. I told them they're missing the boat. Also told them Chiz would bump their Team GPA by .5 the second he'd sign a letter if intent, lol

Yea, I really didn't know. That's not really that small for a good running back. They'd surely put on a few more pounds at the next level and RB is so much about instinct and quick thinking. Of course quickness and speed help, but good decision and reaction is huge no matter how fast you are.

 

I'm rooting for both. Enjoy watching both of them play.
