20 years ago today (Sept. 5, 1997) Warren East jr Jeremy Britt set 3 state records: 57 carries, 486 yds, 8 TDs in 51-38 win over Owensboro.

 

 

 

Also 20 years ago today (Sept. 5, 1997) Male quarterback Gerry Ahrens set a state record by throwing 9 TD passes in 62-20 win over Seneca.

Those are some impressive stats.

I remember reading about those in the Herald Leader. Newspaper was the only real option at the time for in depth information on high school football.
