Can you say...track meet...team with most IV's wins...

Brad Fennell and Troy Kramer. I don't know Troy but Brad is a 1982 HHS grad. Played football but by no means a star. I think they are off their game today...usually better. Just not doing the basics as well...giving time, down and distance, etc... I think when HHS got off to the fast start, they were thinking the PC is over-rated. Now that PC is moving the ball at will and Riley Hall is doing very well, they are blaming the D. Both teams have to be exhausted...sounds like a track meet with both teams in hurry up all the time.

Looks like a rainy day Friday. How does that affect the game?

That's my point. This thread does not determine who the underdog is. Most HS football fans (outside Ft. Thomas) throughout the state will be surprised if HHS wins...

Well, I don't think this an exact scientific poll since a big majority of the people on here are HHS fans (me included). If this was a Gallup poll, the margin of error would be 50%...

I don't think very many are looking at PC as the underdog.

Cat, he relishes that role. Actually, I cannot argue with anything he is saying. Go to the political threads (there we argue all the time:))! If I was not a HHS fan and was looking at the game purely objectively, I would have to predict PC winning. But I do think HHS has a chance in the game, which is a complete 180 from what I was thinking a month ago...

As a HHS fan, I cannot argue with anything you just said PP. I do think HHS has stepped up its game, but we will all get to see next Friday. I am looking forward to it, to see if HHS has really gotten better and also to see how good PC is. A month ago, I could not say I was looking forward to it...

Yep. Even if you get there on time with no travel problems, does not make sense to me to warm up and then sit on a bus for 20 minutes tightening up.

This game intrigues me. A month ago I would have said HHS probably has very little chance in this game. Now I am not sure. It looks to me like one team that has been solid all year but maybe not playing its best football right now against a team that has been mediocre all year but is peaking right now. I have never seen PC play so I know very little about them other than they are good. Very much looking to seeing this one...

What they have done lately is warm up at CCH and then drive over right before the game. Seems stupid to me. What if there is a wreck and you get in a traffic jam?

I think 3 is right on the TO's but the first one was in their own end when HHS was up 10-0. HHS could not do anything and settled for a FG. I don't think HHS had any. You lose the TO battle 3-0, you lose 90+% of the time...

JD has to get some looks as a DI kicker, doesn't he?? He will flat out hit you on defense too....

BTW, I don't want to sound like I am ripping Miller for dropping the pass. He played a great game and just flat abused the CCH corner trying to cover him all night.

I want to give some props to Hergott. That kid has taken a lot of heat this year and I thought he played very well tonight. I cannot remember a really bad pass. He should have had another long one at the end of the first half that Miller dropped on about the 5 yard line - the throw was great. Also, Daugherty was just a weapon in the kicking game. Every kickoff (and they kicked off ALOT) went to the end zone except one that went right to the goal line. Three FG's (the 44 yarder would have been good from 54) and very solid with his punting. My buddy does the stats for HHS. He told me Kendall had 222 yards rushing - the vast majority had to be in the second half.

I will be at DCM for the rematch...looking forward to it...

I have to go with the 1998 team as well. They frankly looked like men against boys in most games. Scored 801 points (53 per game). Did not play a close game in the playoffs. 2009 was really good too and I remember the 82 team well. Not a bad choice either. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately:)), I am not old enough to have seen the 57 team but that one sounds special too. But for the teams I have seen, I have to go with 98.

Oh I know all about Cincy HS football. I have probably been to 50 GCL games including many involving Colerain. I disagree with you about Mason vs Nippert but it does not really matter what we think anyway...they are playing it at Mason. I just feel there will be people who want to go who will not be able to now since it will probably be sold out...and Nippert is closer for both schools, although Mason is not a bad drive at all...certainly better than Dayton.

Should be a great game. Would try to go but if at Mason, it should sell out. It is a shame they don't play at Nippert. I wonder why they could not work it out if it was rent free. Seems like a no brainer to me...

Should be very interesting. IMO, this will be a test of both coaching staffs. Which staff has made or will make better adjustments since the first game? Which one will be better able to dissect the first game film and make subtle changes without changing its team's identity? HHS seems to be playing much better on both sides of the ball and has made some adjustments (JOAT would be better to highlight those) but the competition of late has been suspect. I'm sure CCH thinks it is playing better now than the first time they played and my guess is that CCH thought they should have won the first time. I predict HHS wins at home next week but nothing would surprise me.

Congrats Birds! Assured of a winning season for the sixty something consecutive year! CCH part deux next week at DCM stadium...looking forward to this one...
