Tough, not tough....Whatever. Are they gonna be good and why? If they win they'll be tough, if they lose well then some may say not tough. The fact is this team and every other team has kids on it that are tough and others that are not. No big deal, that is the way it is. Anyone know who is playing what position?

I guess you do not have to be from NKY to play...

Excellent hire. I like the recent trend of College/Pro coaches going to the HS level...like Happy Osborne in basketball, Cris Collinsworth in football and I know there are more...

Coach Sizemore is a Clay Co. Grad & former asst. at Metcalfe & So. Laurel. He is to meet the team today. I wish the best for BC football.

I didn't say he did a bad job I just asked what criterion was used...Also, you answered the question. Check out your own reply. Again, I did not see Brossart play so I have to trust you there. Hightchew has speed, glove, hits, and is a big part of the team that won it all twice.

Agreed. Only 1 player from the back to back region champs? Hmmm I have to ask what stats etc were used. Example: Hightchew absent from list...saw every player on the list play except the Brossart guys. IMO hightchew is better than a couple of the selections.

I agree with CBuckett here. I thought of Coach Poynter as soon as I heard it was open. He would need to apply first though...

I mentioned Berger earlier in this thread. I have to think he is the first person BW approaches.

Wow! Surprising news out of Ft. Mitchell...who replaces him? Berger?

Wow!

Nice game, good win! This is a good team no matter the age. Things seem to be going their way+ they are hitting the ball hard and putting it in play.

I'll stick with my original prediction NCC wins. I am abt 50/50 so far though...I will say, I am happy Ryle won though. The AD is a good guy & so is Coach Roesel.

HC wins NCC wins CCH wins Highlands wins NCC wins region

Bartels did not walk a lot of batters....NCC was charged with 4 or 5 errors, 1wild pitch & 1 passed ball.

Birds had no errors in the field for the 2nd or 3rd straight game. Great game to watch and Highland Park was packed, you'd of thought Eric Glaser was on the mound circa 1997. Great win for Highlands! Bartels and Cain named to all-tourney team for NC. Representing HHS was Sr Mitch Meyer, & Fr Luke Hennigan. MVP was Highlands Gabe Schultz. Monday at Champion Windows Field...

Both teams are fun to watch. Highlands is much improved compared to last season for several reasons imo. Schultz was dominant & the Birds got on base and did not leave many on base...this is a young team and the JV was solid too, future looks bright.

Not sure he will play.

I thought it was 41-3. That is quality at any level.

Newport plays at Newport Stadium, which is on campus.

Coach Myerhoff was arguing the obstruction call as the runner went too wide in attempt to break up the DP. Both runners were out anyway, but obstruction was the call. Whitford looked smooth & very athletic on that play BTW. Good game!

Both the HHS & Beechwood books scored it E 6. Relax fellas!

I have to think he will be in the mix at RB. That is gonna be one crowded backfield! I have watched a lot of Highlands football and he has one of the most explosive backs I have ever seen. If he gets to the 2nd level he is tough to catch. He also takes care of the ball, which is huge.

He has as good of a shot as anyone. One thing is for sure, the best will play. That goes for every position. I hope for great success for all of the boys.

Tough loss, but all the more reason to go get 'em tomorrow..

When/how can we get SK on the football schedule, so we can read another bad prediction about HS football...Birds will be scary good. Better at nearly every position in 2012. That does not guarantee them a win over any team, but it does mean others will have to give an outstanding effort to beat the Birds.
