CovCath and Coach Krumplebeck should have more titles than other 9th region schools. They usually have better teams. The criticism is fair considering that many years since 2005 the Colonels have come in as the favorite or #2 and failed to produce. Colonel fans may not like that but it's a fair criticism of the program.

Your retort came across as defensive as well as trying to say that somehow the Colonels were going to better since over half of the losses were by those 3. You can claim you were just trying to tell all of the stats but it sure doesn't come across that way. And your rebuttal is weak. Only good players can even be in the discussion of an all-anything team even those that I would take off.

So Alex points out CovCath lost 25% of the wins. You then retort that they also lost over 50% of the losses. I'm guessing the parents of those boys appreciate your spirit that will not die.

We need more entertaining basketball. However we get there is fine with me.

When you have a region that any one of 5 or 6 teams could win you should not have high expectations in Lexington.

Congratulations to all of the boys selected. Had I been picking I would include Fox, Hassell, and Tobler and remove Maniacci, Hemmerich, and Smith.

Other than players being one year older is there something that changed to make you think a mediocre team suddenly goes to a top 3 or 4 team? Did they bring in a stud pitcher? Is is the new coach?

I have a daughter in a similar situation so I emailed the assistant superintendent of the Diocese. He says that a 7th/8th grader can only play at the school that is aligned with the grade school. He said that if a child attends a feeder school for Bishop Brossart they can play for them but not for Newport Central Catholic regardless of what parish they are members of.
