This sounds like Will Muschamp the other night after the UK UF game.... After a lackluster start to the season the Birds are playing their best soccer of the season. Breslin was outstanding in goal.

Their QB may be the best dual threat QB the Birds will see all season. #8 Key is a major player. His father Donte' played for UK back in the day.

Not exactly sure but I've been told there will be no kickoffs, punts, PATs. That leads me to believe it will be 10 plays for one side, 10 for the other, rinse, lather, rinse, repeat...

In a rematch of the 9th Region semifinal, HHS SR Joe Martin and Conner SR Blaise Ostertag put up zeros for 6 innings only to have the ATY Roosters plate 1 run in the top of the 7th inning on a squeeze bunt to take a 1-0 lead. The KY Colonels battled back to score 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th on a single by St Henry grad and TMC signee Tony LaCorte to win 2-1. Martin was as sharp as I've seen him and was the hard luck losing pitcher. Ryle grad Jeremy Downs retired the last 2 batters to earn the win in relief of Ostertag. ATY had several chances in the earlier innings but couldn't plate a run. Game was played in Nashville as part of the 18u wood bat tournament.

The 18U Kentucky Colonels had an excellent showing this past weekend in the 18U Great Lakes Freedom Classic at Notre Dame, losing in the championship game 3-2 to the 18U Ontario Blue Jays. St. Henry grad and TMC signee Tony Lacorte threw a complete game gem in the final limiting an excellent squad who had been averaging more than 8 runs per game to only 3 runs. The tourney had 30 teams from all over the midwest and Canada. The squad went 7-1 and had important contributions from everyone on the roster, playing 8 games in 3 days. Ryle grad and Indiana SE commit Jeremy Downs, Dixie Sr. Ethan Harrison, CCH Sr. Noah Galvin, Scott grad and Univ of the Cumberlands signee Reed Spata had outstanding weekends at the plate. The squad hit 5 home runs during the tourney as well. Conner Sr. Blaise Ostertag, Harrison, Galvin, Dixie Sr. Colin Suttles, and Highlands Sr. Lou Bunning each homered during the tourney. S/O to Ryle Sr. Marshall Rich who had a walk off single in the bottom of the 9th inning in the semifinal vs. the Oakland (MI) Reds to help the Colonels reach the final, as well as Gallatin County grad and Berea College commit Chase O'Connor who pitched in relief in back to back games helping the Colonels reach the final.

Let me be the 1st to suggest that Sean Duggins would be an excellent replacement. He is outstanding and is a Trinity alum.
