The "hit" is going to come up. I don't know the rulebook but my guess it was a penalty.

Regardless, it certainly sent a statement that CCH never answered in any way. I'll take any player who I have to dial back a bit vs a kid I have to work on to be aggressive.

If I'm Highlands, I'm feeling really good about my last season in 4A. If I'm Cov Cath, it's back to the drawing board in a big way. After this game, I may never pick the Colonels over the Birds again. Cov Cath was VERY undisciplined. Highlands killed them with the hurry-up offense. Coach Wirth definitely needs to work on speeding up calling plays. That pace will never work against the Birds.

Congratulations to Highlands on a huge win.

I don't know the rule either, but I wonder if no call was made because the ball had passed the receiver (ever so slightly) before the hit. I don't know if that was a consideration.

I'm not big on analyzing play calls and strategy.

I'll just say this. HHS manhandled CCH in every way.

Add in the best QB in NKY as well. Kid can really put some zip on the ball.

As always, Highlands is Highlands. To beat them at the 4A level you have to catch them on an off game, which by the way doesn't happen often. The hype of this game was the nail in the coffin for Cov Cath in my opinion. I'm not saying that CC would have won the game otherwise, but i do believe it could have been closer. No one wants to play a fired up Highlands team.

That's got to be a load off of Weinrich's mind. I thought Highlands was going to win, but I also thought CovCath would give them a game. Definitely not the Colonel team I expected. I was kind of looking forward to a close one for a change.
