I think Moe is the logical pick. I would say around 28 - 13.

Sadly, I think results similar to last year. Moeller 42-14

Moeller, as always, has high major talent.

 

6'3 285 NT Elijah Taylor is going to Notre Dame.

 

JR TE Jake Hausmann is one of the top TEs in the country and , my guess, ends up going to Ohio State.

 

SR TE Doug Bates is a UC commit.

 

WR Chase Pankey has committed to Boston College.

 

CB Noah Able has an offer from Lafayette.

 

Kicker is D1 caliber. Won the kicking competition at Michigan State camp.

 

They have a 6'5 frosh TE who some project already as a high major recruit. Not sure if he dresses with the big boys yet.

Moe only threw 15 passes last week against 47 running plays. Crusader defense gave up only 2.2 ypc against a pretty good Pick North team.

 

 

Cincinnati Moeller 21, Pickerington North 6: Moeller’s defense smothers North

 

If Cincinnati Moeller is to win a third-consecutive Division I championship this fall, it will need to play much better than it did last night.

 

Yet it would be hard for the Crusaders to complain about an opening-night victory over what is expected to be one of central Ohio’s better big-school teams. Moeller beat Pickerington North 21-6 last night in Crew Stadium to win its seventh-straight opener.

 

It was a first — if a bit sloppy — step toward becoming the first Ohio team to threepeat since Youngstown Ursuline won Division V championships from 2008 through 2010, and the first Division I team to do so since Cleveland St. Ignatius won five straight from 1991 to ’95.

 

“First game, I’ll take it,” Moeller coach John Rodenberg said. “I think we need to polish things up. But I thought defensively, we played simply spectacular.”

Moeller wins this one and could win by 20+ but I think if they run a lot the interesting thing to watch is how CCH's quickness on the line can react. Can they slow their running game down? That is what I'd be interested in, not so much the score, but how CCH can handle a good running team.

Thoughts?

 

A Moe win- but want it to stay closer than last year. Most of all for everyone to stay safe and no injuries. This is the game last year where we lost Our WR Braun to a collarbone injury.

It was also Dressman, Darlington and McGinneses first start and it showed. Want to see how Wagner improves things and how the other two have grown. Very interested to see how our WR's do.

On defense, I am also interested to see how our D Line and LB's fair against a terrific O-Line.

No disrespect to CovCath, Moeller is just in a different league imo. If CCH can keep it close, I will go ahead and say CCH will win 4A this year.

I think this game could be closer than some. CovCath is as good as they have been since 2006. I have a hard time believing that anyone would blow them out.
