Has this been the "coolest" summer practice weather ever? Only a few days even hit 90 here in nky the past month. The kids are getting off easy this summer it feels like fall practice weather.

You mean instead of having to worry about head concussions as well as heat exhaustion during two-a-days, it's just head concussions?

You're right... they are getting off easy.

Last summer seemed consistently more mild to me. This year there has been more extremes compared to last year but still, relatively mild. I just hope this does not mean another brutal cold winter.

if weather would happen to warm up for start of regular season kids wont be ready for it is my point. I am ALL for safety but also need to be prepared. Not being prepared for heat and how to properly handle it could to lead to many problems.

The counter argument could be that the practices in mild weather are more productive and indicative of how most days will be during the season.

Not sure in NKY but I did read where this has been the coolest summer on record for Indianapolis with only 4 days of 90 degrees through the end of July. We often get the same weather so that might hold true for the Cincinnati area also.

My biggest worry is that some of these first couple opening weekends, it's going to be hotter than the gates out & I don't give a rip how much you run and condition in these very unseasonably mild tems. The ONLY way you are ready for temps hovering around 90 and high humidity is to practice/acclimate to it; and, there has been NONE of it.
