  1. One of the finest young men I've ever met. I feel much better about our country knowing that young men like Brandon are stepping up to the plate. I'm sure his parents are very proud! Brandon will be joined by classmate Jason Lewis who will also be attending West Point.
  2. The much more talented part is certainly debatable. If that's the case it shouldn't even be a game right?
  3. Wouldn't you think there might be some development of players over the next couple of years. To say the Birds won't want any part of Beechwood in a couple of years is a little silly.
  4. I don't know why she would be pressing to hard. According to the paper she only needed 8 points. She has probably 20 something games left.
  5. In over 40 years of watching basketball I've never heard nor seen a block and a charge called for conduct occurring during the same play between two players. I've seen officials get together and talk about it. The result has always been one foul called not two.
  6. Congrats! Way to make Northern KY look good! Tremendous accomplishment against good competition. There were a lot of quality players from Northern KY in Lexington the past few days.
  7. I can assure you of one thing. Your assumption about depth being the reason for the loss yesterday is absolutely wrong. Depth had absolutely nothing to do with the loss yesterday. You obviously weren't at the game. This may have been the most deceptive box score in the history of KY girls high school basketball.
  8. Congrats! Quite an accomplishment. Good luck the rest of the year!
  9. How is Montgomery County over Highlands? Highlands beat them by 14 less than a week ago with not a lot of difficulty.
  10. Very classy move on that young man's part.
  11. Not sure want ya know about recruiting at Notre Dame, but it's a little different than other schools in that the pool they have to pick from is not near as large based on academic standards. I've heard a former ND coach talk about this at length. Whether you agree or not I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Austin Collinsworth is one of the bigger named recruits.
  12. Does there not seem to be a little insecurity with these types of threads? "Hey Trinity your team is good, we all are aware of that." If you wanted accolades this time of year you should have won last Saturday.
  13. You had me on the hook until you mentioned Duke. In all seriousness I think some of stone throwers probably aren't real fans of either of the schools. There shouldn't be a year that goes by where Highlands doesn't play either Trinity or St. X (Louisville). We tore down the Berlin wall, it seems we could get a game scheduled.
  14. LCA staff spent some time in Ft. Thomas earlier in the year.
  15. No one knows Highlands offense better than LCA.
  16. Taking shots a program is one thing but calling a kid weak, slow and insinuating that if he gets hit he’s going to fall apart is quite another. You said the following when predicting the Ryle St. X game this year. You made this comment about a player knowing that Ryle played Highlands twice this year and that Towles quarterbacked the second game. So Towles is good enough to beat a team (Ryle) who you picked over St. X, but he's not quite good enough to beat St. X. The bolded part says a lot about you. I realize you are a Ryle supporter and are probably a little upset that the to slow, to weak, to fragile sophomore QB for Highlands ran a 27 yard touchdown on ya and threw one for 54 yds. You have not only insulted a fine young man, but if what you said is true you certainly haven't put the 09 Raider defense in a very positive light.
  17. Final Score. A nice start for the Lady Birds over a top ranked team in Kentucky.
  18. I doubt that Pulaski County is scared. But the reality is that it will be very difficult for them to stay within 50 points of Highlands. I'll be suprised if Highlands punts the ball more than once.
  19. That is your opinion perhaps. Certainly Pulaski Co. has an uphill battle on their hands. I don't think there are any Highlands fans that want anybody bowing down to them. But that said I'm sure they do want good competitive games and Johnson Central certainly provided that. Not quite sure if Pulaski has the caliber team that JC had. So come on up here. I'm sure it will be good experience for Pulaski Co.
  20. For the Love of Pete I'm not talking about the young man who has been referred to here in the last few post. He's the greatest thing since sliced bread. I love that kid. I'm referring to an adult with an orange florescent vest. I should have been more specific. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.
  21. Remember you cannot get into the game until 6:30. Try to get in any earlier and the ever so vigilant "I’m in Charge Guy" will put the smack down on you.
  22. Based on the stats of the teams that reported, JC gives up on average 14 yards a pass completion. This was based on 9 games. From the first Dixie game the Birds have averaged almost 21 yards a pass completion.
